When I first began gaming, I had no idea about the companies behind the games. I thought that the exact same company that brought us the consoles (like the NES) was responsible for releasing the games as well. I am not sure at which point I became aware of how wrong I was but, as soon as I found out that Konami was the company responsible for bringing us the joy that is CV, well, I began to admire it for more than just this particular saga. I saw that this company has lots of other wonderful games like Contra, The Ninja Turtles games, Metal Gear Solid, Frogger, Bomberman, Gradius, Dance Dance Revolution and the list goes on...
True, some of those games are more popular than others but each has merit.
Point is, has anyone who played Castlevania at some point or another has absolutely no idea of the company that has made this saga possible?
What do you know about Konami? Are you a fan? Which other games from this company have you tried? Which do you own?
Post anything you want about anything Konami related here. I don't mind if you like to tell an anecdote involving any of Konami games or whatnot. The more the merrier!

Nice thread here Hypno, though I don't mention this, you mods do have the power to sticky threads and make new ones 3nodding Also speaking of Konami, doesnt everyone think it's about time we get a new Konami Krazy Racers game? I just thought of this yesterday. Getting some Belmonts behind the wheel or a kart rofl They had Dracula last time but no Belmonts, wtf? o.O They need to add, Simon, Snake, Konami Man (and/or Girl), Succubus (in her pimped out b00b-mobile whee ), Bayou Billy, Soma, Medusa, Death, the Contra guys, Sparkster, and I guess that's it, if anyone wants to add anyone post it here razz

Yeah xd I must draw this, and most of my idea for a Konamy Krazy (Wai Wai) Racing 2 3nodding I bet Konami would love this! xd OH! They need somebody representing Rumble Roses ninja

It'd be great to see a game like that. You should work for Konami fer sure! Like Herr Astro's friend used to work for them. I hope more members come to tell us about their experiences with Konami games. For example, I've had a few good ones with Contra. Especially when I played with a friend. Sometimes I got killed cuz my friend was faster than me in reaching the top (on a scene with jumping platforms) so, by the time he jumped the screen would move up but I was still on a platform below. As you can guess, the platform I was on disappeared along with my character. Stuff like that you know, he-he. Good times... And don't even get me started on Ninja turtles 3! mrgreen

Konami themselves have tons of problems. Although it along with capcom have a good amount of game series I like. More than the others where I'll like one or two games. Konami has it's own triangle of divinly good games though. Suikoden, Metal Gear, and Silent Hill.
Lol Rumble Roses. Sorry I don't share your enthusiasm for that game Jin, I always say cut the foreplay and rather than making a game like that just make a full out hentai game. Although if you become their representative you could probably do something about th domokun at

Hmm, Silent Hill. I had totally forgotten about that saga. But it's mostly cuz it's not as old as Contra or CV.
So, about ninja turtles 3... What I liked about that one was that there were two choices to play that game; by oneself or with a friend. If yer friend was already with you then you had to choose one of 3 options in the game. 2 players B (I think). In this option it didn't matter if one turtle would hit the other, there was no damage done between turtles. In the 2 players A option, it was a mix between cooperation and competition cuz damage between turtles was possible. It was more realistic as well too cuz if you were trying to hit an enemy while the enemy was too close to yer partner, he would get hit as well as the enemy. And sometimes the enemy got out of the way by leaping so you'd end up hitting yer partner instead. You had to be really careful on this mode but it was fun too. Especially if you didn't care about getting all the way to the ending. On the 1 player option though, there was a chance for another player to join in but it was not very fair cuz the other player took one life from you. And if that's how player 2 got into the action, then you would be in the same situation as the 2 players A option. This was only useful if someone who had great reflexes wanted to join yer game. As not only yer chances of getting through the end were diminished (1 life less for you), player 2 would only have 1 life and getting extra lives was a bit tough as I recall. Sometimes a friend and I would choose the 2 players A option just to wack eahc other to see who had better reflexes and stuff. That game was awesome!

wow. now i played a ninja turtles game a long time ago and you had to save april. now you road around in this little hippie van or walked on foot. and you could choose any of the turtles. i for got what system it was for. does any one know which that might be. sorry for not being specific but my memory fails me. sweatdrop

Oh yes! The one yer talking about is the first TMNT game for the NES. It was awesome even though the graphics were kinda lame. I loved the fact that you could change turtles at any time (Which you couldn't do on TMNT 3). I remember that saved me more than once cuz when a turtle was almost out of life, I switched to another one. When I found some pizza, the one with the lowest energy would get it. I remember finishing that one but it was a tough game as the last level was a complex maze.
