Just curious to know if anyone is also into doll house miniatures?
I started collecting dolls and then eventually started buying the Barbie furnitures and miniatures to decorate my doll case with. Eventually, I started buying more and more miniatures and started a collection of it.
Feel free to share your collection with us~! heart

I love miniatures. My mother, sister, and I each have a dollhouse that my dad made from those kits you can buy. Of course mom got the best one. 3nodding
I like to make mini pillows. I'll have to post a pic of some of them.
Also, my sister loves miniature bears. wink

melonsoda Here's an example of a handmade one-of-a-kind doll size miniatures I found on Yahoo Auctions Japan: Those are adorable. They remind me of stuff you can buy from The Hollywood Bakery. It's all handmade doll food, and some of it is amazingly realistic. You should take a look, you might find some stuff to go with those little desserts.

anyone heard of re-ment? they're pretty accurate miniatures of common grocery and other items, sold in boxes near candy areas of many import stores. it's blind assortment, unless you get the carton with all of the set, but that's more expensive. here's an lj community I'm in... http://www.livejournal.com/community/plastipocky/ it has a lot of pictures and links to rement items and other miniatures. I <3 mini ;3;

Doll houses are good if they are realistically scaled. Detail is what I look for.

I <3 mini ;3; Yah, I purchased some of those before at random. I really like the "Chinese food" set, it's so cute. Also the Sushi set, although the sushi set was a bit bigger (maybe more suitable for Super Dollfie's instead) ^_^

I own I'd say over 200 pieces of random doll furniture, from couches to slides to beds to even an oversized stove. I tend to keep them all together with my Sailor Moon toys, random GI Joe figure, and random pokemon and digimon toys.
Back to the main conversation, has anybody heard of Kitchen Little? They used to sell it up here 10 years ago. It included numerous mini foods, like salads, pizzas, cakes, ketchup bottles, turkeys, you name it. You could also get the fridge and stove. I own like 300 pieces of random kitchen food, and they are extremely well detailed.
I must say though, they are not nearly as nice as re-ment doll food though.

I just love miniatures! Most of my doll collection lives in my dollhouse. I have a dollhouse built by my cousin and one that I got for my birthday two years ago (I'm still building it) that I've put side by side to merge into one mansion.
I have more sets of furniture than I do rooms, because I just like to take the pieces and look at them.
I don't have lots of food, but I know a Japanese store that sells little foor in the right size, but it's very expensive... sweatdrop

In China and Japan it has become very popular to display miniature glass sundays and food in lil tiny display cases heart
I went there earlier this year and the miniature foods were fabulous but also expensive sad
