ChOcObO pArAdIsE

Chocobo paradise can only be reached by non chocobo living beings if their chocobo has found real happiness with them. Only then may the chocobo queen bring them to her kingdom and bless them with her powers. There are few who have reached this goal and it is only through much travelling together that a person and there chocobo will ever grow truly attached enough to visit this holy place in the clouds.

Chocobo paradise is a vast palace in the skies filled with open fields high up in the clouds and rainbows which fall through the pillow like clouds. Greens grow all around and large fountains, waterfalls and huge pools are laid all about.

chocobos run free on the clouds in a verity of colours and fly up the tall spiral marble towers, riding down slides and kweeaahhing to one another. At a great throne sits the chocobo queen looking over her children and watching them grow.

The giant yellow chocobo stood in front of them and opened its bright golden feathered wings and began kweahing.

"Greetings Akila and Chirichi, welcome to Chocobo paradise."

The huge chocobo only spoke in kwehs and only those who respected and truly befriended chocobos could understand the words and akila could.

"You have proven to me Akila you are worthy to visit my sanctuary. Your bond with Chirichi has shown me that you understand us better than most and have treated Chirichi kindly."

"i have watched you growing up and seen how you have helped Chirichi and loved and cared for him. You have let Chirichi into your heart and helped him grow strong. By reading the writing in that book i was finally able to let you come here."

Akila stood dumbstruck and stared between Chirichi and giant Chocobo in wonder...

I....it's an honour!

Akila then started to answer Brim's question, but then looked at her friend's confused face... Akila hadn't realized she was speaking in kwehs. Akila laboured to speak regular again.

This is the Great Chocobo mentioned in the book! And this is chocobo paradise! And the Great Chocobo said I'm worthy... it's almost unreal... I can understand what Chi is saying and I guess I can speak it myself too, I hadn't really noticed! Come now! The Great Chocobo said something about a feast and you're invited 'cause you're like family too!

Akila beconed for Brim to go inside the palace with her. She was nearly jumping up and down with happiness for the chocobo song, food and just plain excitement of the whole ordeal. She sat down and started eating hastily while listening to the chocobo songs. Chirichi looked at his mother in amazment.

You know, mom, you eat extremely rude...

Akila tried hard to speak regularly so at least Brim could understand half the conversation:

... Not rude, Chi- hungry... there is a diffence... And you know you should really take some singing lessons from these guys...

Chirichi ruffled his feathers indignantly.

I think I sound beautiful mom... and you should too!

I love ya... doesn't mean I agree with ya... And it feels ...strange- kinda nice- to actually hear you call me "mom"...

The great chocobo sat at her throne as attendant chocobo brought her food. She waved her wings in the air and watched as the celebrations began. The chocobos began to line up all around and all went quite, then all at once the chocobos stamped there feet and a strange music began to play.

All kinds of upbeat instruments could be heard from all around but there was no sign of who was playing them. The multi coloured chocobo began to dance, twirling around and moving round the table pecking at the ground as they did and jumping into the air with a kweeh in a rhythm.

"Kkkkwwweeeaaahhhh!"
"Kkkkwwweeeaaahhhh!"
"Kkkkwwweeeaaahhhh!"
"Kkkkwwweeeaaahhhh!"
"Kkkkwwweeeaaahhhh!"

The whole place was alive with music and fluttering wings. All the chocobo were filled with excitement as the propelled themselves into the air and landed softly on the ground while huge fountains shot up all around in colourful patterns.

A small light appeared once again infront of Kyo as he kwehed noisily.

Kyo stood there, seperated from his master; by himself, Stranded in a wierd place that Kyo had never even dreamed about. He didn't like it.

He squawked loudly again and ran to what looked like Brim and pushed her slightly and made angry noises. It was the only person that Kyo seemed to recognise in this place. Many chocobos hopped around, free, but still Kyo didn't like it. He preffered fighting next to his master, not in this fancy place. The clouds and rainbows just didn't feel right.

The great chocobo looked down on akila and smile seeing the happiness and tears in her eyes.

"No akila, it is us who are lucky to have you here."

The great chocobo opened her tail feathers to reveal a huge array of multi coloured feathers and brought her huge wings around akila onto her shoulders, almost completely covering her with soft feather.

"We know how much you have cared for chocobo and it has shown us there are those with big hearts who care for are species still. Such as your mother aklia. you have the same wisdom and courage as her."
