As you can guess from the title, this thread is for discussing your favorite anime songs/soundtracks, or your favorite J-rock/pop group/idol hehe...lots of slashes...anyway, Ill get the ball rolling....
Personally, I have taken a great liking to J rock music, I actually prefer it to music here, I absolutly cannot stand hip hop and rap or most of the music I here ...friggin ghetto city...(sorry that was my little rant) anyway my favorite music artists are:
X Japan
hide
Malice Mizer
The Pillows
There are other various artistst that I enjoy, but these are the major ones.

I only know, like, a bit of one Japanese song, and that's "The Dream Will Never Die", the main theme of the Japanese version of Tales of Phantasia... it is sung by Yukari Yoshida

I've been listening to my Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex soundtracks lately. Origa (the artists who sing a few songs) is really good and I've heard several other songs of theirs not on the GitS: SAC soundtracks. biggrin I've also been listening to some of the Bleach songs lately too. Other than that, just been listening to anime internet radio stations like Kawaii radio, AnimeNfo radio and SickOnion radio (all can be found on winamp's shoutcast radio)

Hmmmm...I thought it was spelt Hyde...oh well I guess I'm just being an illiterate. Well L'Arc en Ciel (Horray for Hide!), Malice Mizer - Gackt era, Gackt as a solo, and Utada Hikaru.

Well L'Arc en Ciel (Horray for Hide!), Malice Mizer - Gackt era, Gackt as a solo, and Utada Hikaru. actually Hyde and hide are 2 different people. hide, (spelled with a lower case h, I'm not being lazy with my grammer right now) was the lead guitarist for X Japan, he went on a solo tour while still with X Japan, which later disbanded, he was in 2 other bands called hide with Spread Beaver, and Ziltch, unfortunatly hide passed away a few years back due to accidental suicide, or what seems as such, nobody really knows what happened. Hyde is from L'Arc en Ciel, and was performing in Anaheim during AX, at the House of Blues...oh how I miss AX...

Oh man! I haven't been in here in a while! Well, I postively LOVE JROCK! Heh, I'm proud to say that I have a playlist with about 10 hours worth of Anime OPs and EDs and JRock songs!

Miyavi
I just can't get enough! It's fun getting your favorite Anime OPs and EDs, and are worth it too!

I listen mainly to Japanese rock and pop and love a lot of different ones, such as:
Gackt, Malice Mizer, L'arc en ciel, Orange Range, Yuki Kajiura, Maaya Sakamoto, T. M. Revolution, Utada Hikaru, The Pillows, and many more....

I found out that Yoshiki from X Japan will be at Otakon this year. This saddens me because theres no way I can go.... crying ....oh well...maybe Ill see him some other time...
