Feel free to suggest things you'd like to see from the metaplot.
Villains are being plotted out by me as we speak and also consider this a sign up for a plot to come. Nothing disfiguring will happen (unless you want it to for some reason).
As with all metaplots -- things will happen and thus I can't promise that your child will walk away from this somehow "unchanged" and hopefully anyone signing up for this won't expect that to happen.
ANYWAYS.
When suggesting things -- Keep everyone in mind. Don't just make a little tangent about just yourself. The plot is going to affect everyone in some way. This isn't a one person show. ^^
If you have a villian-type to suggest feel free to do so. I'll worry about how they get here.
Artists interested in drawing a bad-guy please PM either this account or Pales for info!

Me! Me! I want in on the meta-plot! *twirls*
perhaps... a powerful magician or sorceress in Xanth has discovered how people are being translated to Gaia and stole the secret. So that they can translate or replace items with items of their own containing nasty creatures or people in the hopes of destroying...something? XD
Or mayhap there is some sort of mass kidnapping/spell thing and all the children find themselves alone...somewhere? And have to escape or something?
Lol... I'm bad at the plotting stuffs. Maybe I'll think of something thats actually helpful or useful later. >.<

Lesse...maybe something wrong with the antidotes? The cured children are taking on characteristics of their items or something...I dunno. Or...something involving past lives? Enemies come back for revenge? Though that'd probably be better with individual RPs.
Oh, wait, maybe their connection to Xanth is...malfunctioning or something, and they're starting to lose sight of the Gaian reality--I.E., seeing walls where they aren't, bridges that don't exist, and people no one else can see.

Thank you both for the input. They will be kept in mind. Feel free to keep adding to/changing ideas/suggesting more.
Never know when they might be used!

Hmmm, well, I don't have any specific plot ideas, but I'd love to get a hypnogourd into Gaia somehow, it'd open up so many possibilities. Oddy somehow accidentally sends a hypnogourd to Gaia, and then, perhaps a rather villianous schmoe could find out and use it as transpotation between the worlds? I just think it'd be great to give our characters a chance to interact with a magical environment.

I kind of like the idea of the kids taking on characteristics of their items. Or with a failed connection to Xanth, perhaps their magic could start malfunctioning or behaving erratically?

Well children only vaguely take appearances from items. Some more than others it is kind of random and up to the artist most times. ^^
Unless it is a custom then it is also up to the person who fills in ze forms.
Don't quite remember what a hypnogourd does. @_@
I am a bit further behind than I thought.
As far as Xanth connections and such -- The talents are their own though perhaps something in the Gaia air could cause rampant things to happen and such.
Xanth and Gaia are just simply two seperate worlds, but both have magic/magic potential. Which is possibly what caused Oddy to pop into Gaia (accidentally) as the two worlds seem fairly similiar to each other.
Not shooting anyone down as much as pointing things out for everyone as far as how *I* see it. The elements of the suggestions thus far have been wonderful and very useful input for me to use toward planning/plotting! ^^

Hypnogourds are rainbow gourds with peepholes in them, and if you stare into one, you are basically hypnotized, your body becomes dormant, and your consciousness is transported into what is, if I recall correctly, the world of dreams. The Night Stallion's dominion, yus. Even stranger than the rest of Xanth, and more twisted, too, usually. I do believe that the gourds are used for transportation between Mundania and Xanth in at least one book. Something about the Florida Keys and the keeper of the gate and a giant gourd that you can actually walk into, I dunno, I forget @.@;
Oooh, struck with another idea. Perhaps Con Pewter sends more software into Mundania? Like in Man from Mundania or Demons Don't Dream? I think that's what happened in those cases, at least. He could be trying to recruit the magicians outside of Xanth so he could get an external attack, start a war, usurp the throne...wait, he's good now, isn't he? But then there's some new computer based character... Aaah, I soooo need to reread all of the books XD;;;
