The brightly colored fae walked through the doors, and slowly walked down the hall. Her walk was currently more of a skip. The teen's feet pushed off the ground, and though she wasn't going very fast, they took her very far. This being tall thing was really neat. As she walked onward towards the desk, she took in the sights. It was just a hallway, but she imagined it as much more. If she was lucky, Shy might let her redecorate this place. It had seemed much bigger and amazing when she was little, but now it seemed kind of small.
This was the place. It was nice to be here after so long. This was where she'd met Shy, where she'd meet Sethos and Donovan for the first time...Actually, she'd met a lot of people here. She'd found out what her powers were. This place was full of great memories -and some not-so-great ones. But both made her smile when she thought back.
A small smile adorned her face. As she looked upon the familiar area, it grew a little larger. Another good thing about being older. She could go places by herself, without Oya having to always be breathing down her neck. As she approached the desk, she looked at the person behind it. Had she been here last time?
"Hello, ma'am."

How long had it been? Beth frowned, tilting her head as she stared at the girl in front of her. It was on the tip of her tongue to say something... anything. But the thought kept running out of her mind.
"Welcome to the Zero Three Zero." she said honestly, knowing her as far only because of her ears. "You know where Shy's office is?" she waited for an answer, a verbal one because soon enough she was looking down at the screens before her.
"Actually." she murmured. "Shy isn't in his office. But he's in a public lab, open to other teenage fae." well, that was a bonus. "I can take you there... but it isn't very far." she was clearly unwilling to leave her desk unmanned.
For now.

"Yes, I've been there before."
Ritsuki let a warm smile cross her face, and she moved a little closer to the desk. The woman seemed to know her job well, even though Ritsuki had never seen her before. Shy, on the other hand, she could tell straight away. She didn't forget faces, so the new woman's image was tucked safely in the back of her mind for later.
She thought about it for a moment. She didn't want to interupt Beth's work -then again, she didn't want to do it to Shy, either- but she didn't really know where the lab was. If she'd gone in there when she was younger, she probably would have broken something. Thus, she never went in.
"If you could point me in the right direction, I'm sure I can find it."

Beth nodded, relieved. Getting up and peering to the left, she pointed. "Take the furthest elevator down to the thirtieth floor." at the number, she winced. "Him and his sentimentality... it's actually the fifteen, but he likes that number better. The doors are colored. Red, Black and Yellow and White. Enter the white room. You should see him through the glass case, and he'll know you're there."
As a safety, she tapped a couple of keys on her desk. "I've let him know you're coming as well."

Ritsuki giggled under her breath. It was funny to hear someone say the fifteenth floor was the thirteenth. But then again, she didn't normally question anything people said or did anymore. She thanked Beth and started walking towards said elevator. It took a few moments of her walk-skiping down the hall, but as the woman had said, the elevator did have a button to the thirteenth floor. Didn't buildings normally skip the thirteenth floor? That was sillier than what Shy had done. It was a little strange that people couldn't figure out that the fourteenth floor was the same as the thirteenth.
She followed the three first doors until she saw the white one. It took her a moment to really see it. She turned the knob quickly to open the door. Of course, she couldn't remember that it was a lab, and Shy would probably need silence to work.
"Shy!"

At the sound of the voice, Shy raised a hand automatically to stop her. Staring down at a microscope, he nodded his head, a smirk breaking across his face as he muttered something into the program.
Turning and slipping off the goggles, he brightened.
"Ritsuki!" walking over as quickly as he could, he shed his gloves, stepped out of the safety room and towards her. "You've grown so... and you look happy." he was beaming.
It was about time they came to visit him.

Ritsuki put her hands across her mouth in order to stop herself from yelling anymore. She tried to see what he was doing, but all she could see was the microscope. And that wasn't exciting in the least -not to her, anyway.
She tried to say something. Only to find that she was still covering her mouth. The words only came out as muffled nonsense. She took both hands off her face, and put them by her sides. A laugh had to escape before she could try to speak again.
"It's so good to see you!"

Shy nodded, relaxing. "Noelle has come by already." he commented, meaning no disrespect-- just a slight reminder that she was older, and yet... shaking his head, he placed a hand on the small of her back and led her out another door. "Come, I believe Nora... Beth" he corrected. "Has paged your tutors. But this is time for me and you."
A small room with a large window that looked out into the expanse of snowed land. How this was possible was a slight mystery-- maybe one of the fae had done it? Illusion or not, the room was warm, comfortable.
"How have you been, Ritsuki?" he asked pleasantly. "Your gifts? Any trouble"

"Oh! Noelle!"
Ritsuki hadn't seen Noelle in a long time. The last time was probably in the castle... And that had just turned out to be very strange. Especially the strange mirror -which she had not figured out. The thing seemed to have a mind of its own, so she had to concentrate very hard to get anything other than her reflection to appear. But when he said something about her tutors, her smile birghtened and her thoughts changed to them. Ferroc and Xang. Funniest. Fae. Ever. The two of them together was funny on its own. They were almost complete opposites.
She allowed Shy to lead her to the room. She glued herself to the window, looking out at the snow. It was amazing what they could do sometimes. She looked back at Shy, her smile dulled slightly.
"I've been all right... My gifts haven't been giving me problems. But-"
She paused for a moment. She trusted Shy, she would tell him.
"-I've been remembering things. And I don't like them."

Shy nodded his head, sympathetic in a way a scientist could be with his projects. "I know. They'll start to hit you harder, faster now that you're in your teens. By the time you reach adulthood, you'll have the majority of your memories back. Hard to deal with, I imagine." moving over to a couple of chairs and pouring them both something hot and spicy to drink, he smiled.
"Ferroc and Xang will be able to help you more than ever. But it's more then that, now." he sat down, motioning for her to do the same. "You're older, wiser, with more responsibilities on your shoulders. You'll be given a pass to access certain areas of the lab, and... as a fae, the opportunity to tutor one of the children." he smiled. "The way Ferroc and Xang came to you as teens."
It helped, really, it did.

"Right now, it seems to be only the really bad ones that are smacking me in the face. But I guess those are the most important ones, so they would probably be the ones to come first. But after this, all the other ones must be nice!" She was still standing next to the window, so that she wouldn't lose her view of the snow. She smiled, and walked towards where Shy had placed the chairs.
"I'm grateful to have their help." She sat down in the chair. She couldn't see the snow as well, but she had to concentrate on him now, anyway. "That'd be fantastic! I could watch over them and help them, and they could learn about history and their powers and we could have ice cream-" She stopped herself. Ice cream was going just a bit too far. She laughed, though. It would be nice to help care for the younger fae.

Shy relaxed, laughing as he nodded his head. "Knowing what your powers are, I'll try to assign you to a child who will have similar gifts. This doesn't always work out-- but usually, you can sense something about a child that attracts you... you'll have rooms as well." He watched the young girl, almost a woman but not quite.
She was the first, in his mind.
"We'll work on it together. Rooms, children." his smile deepened. "Somewhere Ferroc and Xang are trying to figure out where I've kidnapped you to... but these dreams. Tell me, Ritsuki." almost a command, but not quite. "What do you remember?"

Ritsuki had to breathe for a few moments before she was able to speak again. Her final breath let out a short sigh, before making way for words. "I'm sure you'll make the best choice. And if anything does go wrong, will they have a second tutor to go to as well? Like Ferroc and Xang?" She wanted to know, just for knowledge purposes. She was fine working on her own or with another, so it wasn't that big a deal.
"Well..." She looked away for a moment. It was a little painful to remember what she'd seen, but it did come to her. "...I was outside of a village, I think. Probably on top of a hill or a cliff or something of the sort. I was looking down at it, and all the houses were on fire. Then, I heard a voice behind me, so I turned around, and saw someone I knew. He attacked me, and then I woke up. That was the most recent one, and it kept getting longer and longer each time. There are more, but that's definitely the worst."

Shy nodded. "Two. Checks and balances." he said simply, and frowned, listening. His look was sympathetic as he reached out and placed a hand on her arm.
"Most fae who have come back to me tell of the same thing. A single memory that keeps growing in the span of dreams. Why I'm not sure. But Ritsuki... if you remember specifics. Names, places, events. I can get you in contact with fae who have existed during the times, and they will be able to help you."
He hoped, at any rate. Death. Why did so many of his fae see death?

She nodded slowly at his response. Good, she'd have a second teen fae to help her. Her question now was: Who? But she wouldn't ask about that yet. Soon, but not yet.
"It's actually nice to know I'm not the only one. It really doesn't feel normal when you're afraid to sleep. I can't remember the name of the town, or when it happened, but I know who did it. It was a single Unseelie. His name was Noah, and sadly, I know him to be my brother." She wasn't aware of the fact that the others were seeing death and misfortune, too. It was probably because that was what stuck in their minds more than anything else. It was like a leech, one that they couldn't remove no matter how hard they tried.
