Ok, I kinda felt like using the RP thread for guild discussion was somehow getting a little confusing and since we have a guild now, we can use it for this kind of stuff while we're building.
This thread is for suggesting ideas that you believe would make managing the guild easier for both the crew and it's members, gathering more people, and to make it fun. We can also discuss and debate these as well.
Here are some of the questions I've asked:
How big do we want this guild? How many people should we have roleplaying here?
How can we arrange profiles so that it's easier and more efficient?
How should classes work? Should we even care about classes?

I don't think we want it above one hundred and that's not exactly in ideal conditions. I pass the torch to Aelita.
I'm going to create a thread that is locked in which I will organize all the profiles because I've taken up plot and characters as my personal domains. Allow me to cackle evilly.
Hey! That one's mine, too. I think that classes will be at least partially theoretical. I think it's going to be more towards the idea that students can go to the professors for help on nonexistent assignments or tea or whatever. They'll have a subforum all to their own, I hope, with offices and a staff room and things.
Some of my questions:
What should we do if the person doesn't submit his profile as part of his request to join? What if he or she is from the old RP?
How is the guild banner coming? Can we have a more original name, maybe?
When should we start to allow people to actually RP?
How pissed off would you be, Baha, if I begged you to give your character a different first name?
Why so much italics, Aelita?

Agh, Baha! You're in there, but all the OCs were mentioned by generalization in case we ever lost you. Mr. Malfoy is an integral part of the plot and you mayn't mock him.
A GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENT! FINKER IS GOING TO POST RULES FOR CHARACTERS AND THEN YOU WILL PM HER YOUR PROFILE.
After they are posted, profiles will be required to be in the join request.

I have an announcement!! Whatever you can give, please donate to the guild so I can create sub forums. I'm jsut finding this out, and I'm not sure how much it costs to make a subforum.

*Tilts her head* There won't be enough room to put character profiles in join requests. There just won't be.
I think that a sticky should be made where people can post their own profiles, and the crew can go through them and give approval for roleplaying.
It would be easier, because then profiles could be edited for things like personal and physical changes.
I think, in the request they should include a roleplaying sample to proove their literacy.

If I trusted people not to be complete idiots, Coleyoly, I would do it that way. I think I'm going to have a sticky for character profiles for approval and a locked announcement of approved profiles.
What say you?

That's the thing. We'd go through the profiles and approve them. If there was something wrong, we could take them off and ask them to retry.
