Ugh. I HATE seeing those scamming bulletins. So I'm here to inform you that NONE of those bulletins that say something like "
Click here, wait 24 hours, and you'll see the user names of everyone viewing your site!" are legit. It's a scam to get hits on THEIR site which gives them money and makes you look dumb.
As far as I know, MySpace does NOT allow user name tracking as part of their privacy policy. In fact, the only tracker I know of that does allow that sort of privacy violation is
http://www.subprofile.com/ for AIM.
But hope is not lost. If you still want to know if your ex is checking up on you, or if that crush looks at your site, or whatever else you might need a tracker for, I have two options. There are many more out there, but these are my favorites:
-
Bravenet.com (I think the site may be bravehost.com now. My portfolio is at bravehost.com/jealousghost and I have a tracker on there. It shows me IP addresses, global referrals, and hits per day)
-
CreateBlog.com (I love their tracker. It's very in depth and you don't need to put a button on your site... just a code. So it's very shady in that people won't know you're tracking them).
