Hey there brothers and sisters in Satan, I have come to you today to tell you of a fun/enlightening/empowering meditation on the Sacred Tarot. During this exercise you WILL notice changes within yourself, I cannot tell you 100% how to do this, it's a personal thing, but i will give you a good outline for it. All you need it a decent pack of tarot cards, I reccomend the Thoth deck by Uncle Al. Ok so here we go kids. For Satan's sake read the side note.
Step 1: Pick out all of the trump cards and pick one at random or one you think is pretty or whatever, look into the meanings of each before you choose remember you will be bringing out this part of yourself.
Step 2: After picking a card, look at it, get used to the symbolism, be VERY familiar with the meaning and I mean know all of it's aspects.
Step 3: Sit yo' a** down and get comfy, normal meditation place and posture is reccomended, take the card in your hand and get into a trance/deep meditative state.
Step 4: While in that state think of the card, think about what archetype it is in nature, such as the death card is obviously the death archetype, after doing this you may get some insights into the card, such as meanings you never saw before, be sure to write them down cause you'll need it later. Do this daily until you are satisfied with the information you gather from tapping into that archetype.
Step 4: Ok now, this is the HARDEST part, try to be that card in your everyday life, if it's a cocky hardass archetype: be one. Incorporate everything you learned about the card into your every day life and try to see how that archetype is ever present, believe me you will see things MUCH differently after doing this.
A side note: Your perception and persona will likely change from this, if you choose the fool, you will likely be like the card, but the point of this is to give you insight into how the tarot is based on the construct of the universe, as crowley said the cards are not arbitrary but based on the universe, again you WILL see changes in the world, you will notice things you never saw before, with certain cards you will see peoples reasons for doing things be it lust, anger, love you WILL notice these things so be prepared for an entire perspective change. Also when done with one card wait a few weeks or so to do the next so you can acclimate to the changes that have been made.
Be sure to read side note, good luck.
Feel free to critique this method, I have used it myself so I know it works but ya know, im open to stuff. Feel free to ask questions or PM me for support if you don't wanna post it.

Great post SoilWork!
This is a good meditation. I've done this before in the past and it's been useful. I didn't pick them randomly though, I focused on cards that were effecting me or would be useful parts of me to change at the time. The other way of doing this is to just start at the fool and move forward. My only suggest for the random method is to remove the card from the stack once you have done it so you don't repeat the same card without working through all the others.
I noticed that SoilWork didn't suggest a time to work on one card (well SoilWork said to work on a card until you think you have all the info, but you could end up wasting time looking for something that isn't there smile ) so I would suggest about a week or so to spend on one card. Then do the week off as SoilWork said. If you spend to much time on one card it could have a negative effect on you, you don't want to get sucked into the archetype.
As with any work of this nature, don't do it if you have any serious medical conditions or if your currently sick (physically or mentally). That also includes states when your overly emotional (stressed, depressed, etc) unless you are picking a card to specfically deal with those emotions in you. In general, be careful and have fun changing yourself. smile
