i prefer rifle but i like sabre too. i can toss good on sabre but i love rifle work but it's harder to toss especially since we have very heavy rifles

Sabre wink , even though I'm better and more experienced at rifle, I've never liked it, and from the day I joined guard I wanted to spin sabre heart .

I like doing rifle.. because.. iono.. ahahaha.. it was my freshman year only 2 freshy's made it on rifle and i was one of them with my rifle buddy heidi!
ahahaha.. but yah.. both of us wanna be the best and be co captains.. so ehmm.. we started to learn sabor by our captain this year.. and the co captains for next year.. and we're happy they said we can most likely make it together.. we're just afraid of like.. one vote making someone else the captain.. ::sad face:: =[
but yah! i love both! heart

I can do both but I prefer Sabre. I can toss higher with the sabre but for rifle I love the weight of it.

we only get to do flags. we have rifles in the guard room, but or director doesn't like to use them/doesn't know how (i'm not sure which). she does know how to use sabres, but we don't have any. alas, such is llife. emo

Rifle, purely because I have no idea how to use a sabre. I mean, we play sword fight, but I don't know how to toss it or anything.

I like both.
Rifle is a bit easier to control, and it makes very satisfying "gak" sounds. xd You can also be more aggressive cheoreographing / performing the work.
Sabre is more fun and easier to toss and catch, but I feel like it's harder to recover from, even if you just make a minor slip.

Oh wait, amendment! We got sabres this year, and I have to say, after (informally) playing with both, I prefer......
....the show sticks.

I agree with Lina Lainey. But I haven't had as much experience with sabre so it's not really fair for me to be picking favorites.
