Description Mel has blue hair with eyes of a similar shade. Rosy skin gives way to a sparkling tail, shimmering from deep purple at her hips, fading into a pretty blue, then aqua, then off into white at the ends of her fins. Mel wears a pretty set of shimmering blue shells which compliment her already beautiful self.
Personality: Outwardly, Melanie is a very shy, very unsocial nereid. However this tears her up inside. Deep down, she wants to be out there, playing with the others, enjoying, teasing and romping around like them. But fear of the unknown, mostly, keeps her locked within herself. Rarely, she unconciously lets herself loose, allowing herself to join into games and conversation, but for the most part her voice and her thoughts are kept for herself only, the exceptions being those whom she trusts whole-heartedly. Although she is so shy that she's nearly unapproachable, when she does allow herself to chance to gain a friend, she shall be that person's friend for life, keeping loyal to them till the very end.
Talents: Melanie loves to read. Angie brings her books specially made for her, ones that have page protectors on them so that they don't get wet and ruined. This does get costly however, but Angie seems to not notice, enjoying the fact that her friend squeals with joy when a new book is brought. Currently, Mel is reading one of the DragonLance series with great interest and enthusiasm.

One nereid has earned Melanie's friendship and trust so far. That one is Rhapsody. Once Melanie heads back into the pools, I'm sure she'll meet others, but for now Rhapsody is the single friendship Melanie has allowed herself to have.

As of yet, Melanie and I have no current projects. After she gets a better feel of this place, and gets to know a few more people, we might come up with some projects to take care of.

As of yet, no permissions shall be set. For the first few posts, this shall be a private journal, as such. After Melanie and I get the hang of using this, we shall slowly allow others to post within.

The layout I used for this journal, was a mixture of ideas from other journals I'd seen. The original layout I based this on was the one I did for my Juusanshi, which was done with permission by Trio Maxwell-Chang. Any other similarities were picked up from glancing at other journals. If there's an idea here that might've been yours, please lemme know so I may credit you in here too ^_^.
