And all I could say in response was "I prefer bohemian." xd
But, seriously, someone I didn't know added me to their MSN messenger list and started talking with me. And being the person I am, he/she called me a weirdo. And then, being the person I am, things got worse, and it ended with me being called a dikehead.
Overall, I would say this really made my day. whee

There was this guy in MSN who said that I "added" him to my list when I did no such thing. I said I'd delete him if he won't speak to me again. He agreed, but everytime I'd go on, he'd start harassing me saying "What the hell? why are you still in my list?"
I blocked him then and there.

He, also, was illiterate.

It doesn't take too many guesses to determine what I did afterwards...

Uhh, but the person who I talked with wanted a pic of me too. I refused, of course.

I don't roam around much anymore. Especially places that are full of pop-ups... day in and day out, I keep getting Tracking Cookies in my hard drive as a result. gonk
I'm glad however, that I don't get anymore locos on MSN after those two. 3nodding

If by "discourage" you mean "verbally disembowel", then yes, you can discourage messenger spammers.
I remember that a few years ago, I got a spam e-mail for a p***s enlargement (no, not a pixel p***s, a real one surprised ). And so I replied to it asking why they would a try to sell something like that to a twelve year old... I got no reply, but I did get self satisfaction.

Those things are kinda automatic. They pick out E-mails with a specific name and send it out.
