The summer moonlight glistened on the pools of water. Outstretched beyond what the eye could see were tall oak trees. A young female with long ebony shaded hair perched herself atop a roof. Warm milky eyes glanced at the scenery, for once wishing she was somewhere else.

"Maki!!"

The sharp tones of a male voice echoed into the night, the perfect night created by God, shattered with the echoes.
What a killjoy.

The ebony haired fem lifted her head, glancing back, "Must you ruin everything beautiful, Nii-San..."

A similarly ebonite male sat next to the fem. He patted her shoulder, reluctantly watching her gaze go back towards the trees.

The longing.... the longing that was placed in everyones body at the time of birth... the longing to be free.... to make ones own choices.

'Maki.... you know we can`t go out there..." said the male.
"Yes.... but dreaming is better than longing... ne?" replied the fem.

How long would they be cursed by such vengefull spirits? How long would time be forever put on a stand-still for those of the Houshio family?
How long?

"Oiiiii.... Saio... you gonna just sit there and sleep or are you coming?"

The gentle voice of Maki Houshio woke Shio from his sleep. He yawned, chucking a plush pillow at her head.
"I`ll sleep as long as I please, you idiot...."

"Yes... fine.. bye."

Maki then left for school, leaving Shio behind.
