Hey. i have an aging computer. i can't overclock it from the BIOS.


anyone know a windows program that can overclock?

What kind of processor is it? It depends on whether is AMD or Intel, and the model of the processor itself.

Intels(at least more recent ones) are much harder to overclock than AMDs. This is because intel locks their CPUs with very low level anti-overclocking measures, basically the only way to increase CPU clockspeed with an intel from around '99 and later is to increase CPU voltage and the front-side bus speed. The AMD would be alot easier to overclock, seeing as they aren't locked like their competitor.
