Yes, you heard me right. If you were at opening ceremonies or at closing when Roy answered Questions-- THIS ISN'T A RUMOR. There will be a second MetroCON this year only focused on the Original Art creator for FINAL FANTASY! Amano is coming to Tampa! heart
I want to know who is going-- Since this isn't being focused on Anime and the usual topics of the real Metro, I figure this thread could be used. =]
[ EDIT ] Since the general purpose of this guild is to encourage meeting new friends and the enjoyment of conventions, we tend to want to have the option for a meetup at every con. So, MS is letting me help in setting one up for this event. I know not as many people will be going, but I still think there will be enough people to make it worthwhile. biggrin
An idea I had, given the nature of this particular con is simply meeting for a dinner at a nice [japanese maybe?] restaurant. Problem is I know nothing about that area. Does anyone have any suggestions? Or other ideas? Post em!

This MetroCon seems to be smaller than the previous one. It'll mainly focus on art instead of anime, but seems like cosplay is still welcome.
The date for this will be October 14-15.
Personally, I like Yoshitaka Amano's art in Final Fantasy, but I also love his Vampire Hunter D art and others. ^_^ It's very unique compared to other artists; very fluid-like and flows like water. Kind of reminds me of ancient Chinese ink paintings.

hmm i most likely wont be going....the first metrocon wasnt all what it was cracked up to be and im not crazy about amano's work so who ever is going have fun!

I heard that Amano's exhibit and MetroCon 2 were probably going to be separate events (like the exhibit would be in a museum and MetroCon 2 in it's usual place).
Whatever the case may be. I want to go to whatever one Amano is going to... cause I'm a fan girl like that and I want him to sign at least my Sandman: the Dream Hunters book if not my Biten one as well. ;p

well, since i dont live all that far from Tampa, i hope to make an appearance at this con. i really enjoyed Metrocon this year (it was my first Metro) and im looking forward to another one. ^_^

If you have questions about the con, ask me. I'm friends with the Roy Mustang cosplayer who was working there, so I can get confirmations and stuff from him, instead of those silly rumors.
I'm hoping to go- if so, I'll be the Vash from Trigun Maximun.

This is a con I will make, perhaps both days this time because I am a big fan of Amano's works. I'll probally be wearing my Vincent again and hopefully have the gun perfected and armor remade to look better.
