I just wondered...out of every single character poll I've come across, why doesn't anybody talk about Zim's base computer? Computer happens to get some of the best lines in the series! I love the way he responds to Zim and GIR's enhanced levels of ineptitude. From inquiries into government agencies ("Insufficient data"), to informing the Irken of the painfully obvious ("The Tallest cut the transmission an hour ago!"), from the simple ("Processing...PROCESSING!!") to the complex ("The latest plan is about to explode"), Computer shows more humanity in his explanations and general annoyance with Zim in the whole series than most of the other robotic characters in the show!
-- For those curious folks, I consider Membrane to be every bit a Disney Animatronic Horror as those at Bloaty's or (in real life) Bob Barker. Flames will be used to cook my food because electric ranges suck royal. --

I agree, but the only thing that comes to mind is HAL, and I'm pretty sure that won't work. How about Moopy?

I use the "Processing...PROCESSING!" Computer line as a wav for my start-up sound. It's great.

i like zim's computer. he can be funny sometimes. also jhonen did a good job providing his voice too. 3nodding

Moopy's a pretty cool character too, she just doesn't get many lines seeing as she's in one episode. Her Girly Rangers Troupe are underrated too.

Twelve votes and not a single negative! I'm impressed, folks! I am extremely glad that Computer (yes, we shall simply call him "Computer") has some adoring fans. He's every bit the advanced AI that befits the Irken Elite. I don't think Zim deserves Computer and his support, since he obviously doesn't take pains to be nice to Computer.
I'd love to see Computer get his vengeance on Zim once and for all! Teach that Irken jerk who the REAL master of the base is!

I love the computer. He went from actally providing information (although sometimes made up and admitting to it) to just becoming a grumpy old coughing man. "...and why is my computer coughing?" - Zim
But he's not my favorite Jhonen voice-work, that would have to be the kids with their action figures in Megadoomer "I'M NOT PLAYING WITH YOU ANYMORE!!" and Nick Poor poor Nick... to have to eat those waffles
