Yeah, I have a couple questions...most of them are...yeah...my brain just exploded because of the high silly content...

1.) What would happen if Gai-sensei were to get old...how would he act? Probably the same as usual? (Yay!) cRANKIER? I think he might do some wheelchair training or walking stick training here and there...

2.) Ok, so there's the springtime of youth...what would summer, winter and fall be? 0.o Though Gai's an adult he still mentions "the springtime" about Lee and himself...Gai must be pretty young then but he looks like he's in his mid-late 20's.

Thanks and sorry!

Sorry for what? I think those a are interesting questions.

I can just see a middle aged Gai standing atop Turtle-san and proclaiming, "YOSH! I am in the fall of my mid life crisis!"

And the he goes and has flames painted on Turtle-san's shell.

I can't really imagine Gai getting "old" in the accepted sense. Ya know, doubled over with a walker and telling kids to get off his lawn, dagnabbit.

I picture him, same as ever except a bit more wrinkly and thinner and with gray hair, standing on his front porch, shouting at passerbys to enjoy their youth. And then he and Turtle-san walk a few laps around the front yard and reminisce about running without breaking a hip. And of course, it's all very tearful.

And then Lee comes over with the missus and their 3 kids, and they have a most youthful picnic.

And then they spar with eachother, and then take a family excursion to the hospital for Gai's broken hip.

Ah....good times, good times...

...

I wonder if Gai would ever get married and have a family. What kind of lady would he settle down with?

I bet he'd have cute kids. whee

I agree that he'd probably act just as he always has, only after striking a pose, he'd hunch over and complain about his bad back.

One has to wonder though - given that they're ninja - risking their lives for a living and all - what are the odds of them getting to such an age? The only real ninja we've seen who were visibly elderly was Sandaime, who I believe was in his 70's.

As for the second question...I'm not quite sure...I guess "Wintertime of Elderlyness" would suffice..?
Oh, and given that I dorked out some time ago and did some age/story time calculations, I'm pretty sure that Gai would be 29 or 30 in the current story arc.

"You're only old when your memories turn to regrets." - John Grant

I just can't see Gai getting old. Remember Hiko Seijurou from Rurouni Kenshin? The guy was past forty, but he still looked and acted young. I think it'll be the same way for Gai.

True, and Jiraiya doesn't really look to be in his mid-late fifties, which he would be at this point in the story. (I would've brought up the other Sannin, but they don't count with their Genjutsu and face/body stealing and all...) Still, if the series were to somehow run long enough for Gai and the other Jounin to reacn Sandaime's age, they'd probably have to show signs of aging. Not that the series would run that long...right? Right?! gonk

An excellent quote by the way. mrgreen

I can see an elderly Gai speaking to kids about the wonders of the springtime of youth. ^_^ Though I'd rather not think about it.

Since he looks so much like Lee, if Gai-sensei ever settled down and had kids they'd be little Lee look-a-likes! 4laugh

When Gai gets old, he'll probably still act the same, but with a little more back pain. Maybe even diabetes. I somehow see him with diabetes.

"Gah! Gai-sensei, you know you cannot eat that chocolate cake! The sugar will kill you!"
