Sigil Magick is a type of magick that was created (AFAIK) by Austin Osman Spare. An artist and occultist who studied under Crowley for a while. It was popularized by Peter Carroll and the other major players in the Chaos Magick movement, since it was one of the first types of magick taught by and to Chaos magickians. Oh, and I'm going to aplogise about the pictures, I'm not good at art on a PC.

Here's a step by step guide on how to do it:

Step 1. Write down your desire. (I want a thousand pounds.)

Step 2. Remove any duplicated letters from the desire. This will leave you with a series of letters. (iwanthousdps)

Step 3. Use these letters to create a pictorial representation of your desire.


Step 4. Smooth out this image to make it look more artistic.


Step 5. Find somewhere that you won't be disturbed for about 10-15 minutes and take your sigil on the piece of paper with you. If your going to do step 7 with someone else, obviously you want to pick a place that you and your partner won't be disturbed.

Step 6. Concentrate on the sigil and begin to visualize it.

Step 7. Perform the Death posture while strongly visualizing the sigil (or staring at it if you can't visualize well. If you don't want to perform the Death Posture you can substitute it with the point of orgasm (or any other ego releasing technique).

Step 8. Destroy the sigil and forget about it. Don't think about the sigil, the magickal work or the desire. Banish the thoughts with laughter if they pop up.

And your done. That's sigil magick in a 8 step plan. In step 7 you can fire it however you like. I've explained the Death Posture in another post. Orgasm can be reached alone, or with someone else. It's actually easier to visualize if you have someone else help you, because then you can concentrate on the sigil and not have to worry about the other work "at hand" (so to speak :p ) unless you have a tool to help you.

I've used this technique many times and it works. One piece of advice though. If you do have a desire, make sure you have done everything physically possible to make is succeed before doing the magickal working. If you don't buy a lottery ticket, doing a magickal working to win it won't do squat. Magick will only increase the chances of something happening. If someone has a 0 probablity of offcuring by itself, no amount of magick will help it. On the flip side, if someone has a probablity of 0.9, then magick could easily push it to a probablity of 1.

I attempted this method a few nights ago, and have seen some result so far, though I can't be sure it was because of this. I'll keep ya updated.

So I have a not so very trustworthy girlfriend, at least she makes me think she's not trustworthy, I could just be over supicious, but I need to know if she's lying about something... Could the truth work as a desire?
