Okay, a bit confused on some parts.

First off, what steps thing are we referring to in your rules?

And I'm a bit un-versed on the types of hierarchy there are.

I suppose the hierarchy should be based on how much you have given to this cause and your loyalty to it. Basically if you have proven that you are willing to contribute more (and do contribute more), you will rise in the ranks.

When I made the mini chatterbox thread, I was hoping it would decrease pointless discussion in the other threads. Needless to say, I was wrong.

As for the Hierarchy, I'm too lazy to come up with a good one right now, but I can form some basic Ideas here.

Highest

Our Lady Flip, of course!
Small Council-ish group
Representatives for each continent/region
Representatives for each nice little sector/division thingy.
Normal Citizen People/Voters/Opinion letters/Suggestion Box

Lowest.

I have no idea what this is supposed to be. I just got back from the first day back at school, and my brain imploded.

Guild hierarchy/organisation?

Each guild mod should be given certain topics that are their responsibility. They also have a thread for each of those topics. If one of these topics is raised in another thread, they copy the relevant discussion to the appropriate thread, and delete those parts from the other thread. That way topics will stay on track more, and will generally appear more organised. They could also post the current/all points raised in the thread as bullet points in the first post.

Apart from the crew/regular user differences, the necessary hierarchy is having dedicated recruiters being responsible for their own recruits.

*checks* . . . I'm not on crew. But . . . I post ALL THE TIME . . . It's the " . . . " thing, isn't it? Or the Cyan/Yellow incident? WHY, LADY FLIP!? WHY? [/pleading]
Right, I don't recruit much. Forgot.

He has returned to us!

Ok, back on task. Hierarchy.

Well, as is stated in the original plan, I think a figurehead should at least be there to represent a consolidated front to the masses. But as far as the decision making process within the party/guild at the moment, I mentioned something of a brain-trust earlier, and they get my vote as the leaders.

I agree with Ladyfriend on the point that there should be a 'mini-mod' for each topic to keep it on task and moving forward.

But from the people who have been here lately, only three (in my opinion) are deserving/available enough to fulfill that task: Sobek, Ladyfriend, and Defunct (if you can hang around). And we have many more threads with relevant topics than I'd ask to be divided amongst your three; that's not only one heck of a job, it's also unfair to you. It is our job as loyal supporters to at least attempt to do this by ourselves.

Bottom line: we simply need more people to either
a) join and be active
or
b) come back and start posting again.

*Welcome back to our prodigal sons!*
So far I'm tentatively supporting Ladyfriends proposal, it makes the most sense and is fairly easy to implement (if not maintain)

I agree it seems both easiest and effective but first I'd like to know how we'd determine whose recruits are whose though. I can understand if you get a few friends to join but what about random advertising? Assuming someone goes off a random sig or even the forums (are those still active?) they're not exactly anyone's recruit then. We'll need something for that.

Also, building on her idea, I'd like to suggest, instead of assigning a set amount of mods to the various topics, we just say every thread creator starts as the initial mod of that thread (they can message crew if they need something edited or removed, ex: spam). We'll say if they already have too many threads then they can pass the responsibility to someone else (assuming they're willing of course) and also have a similar transfer process if a thread leader doesn't post for a few weeks. With the original system we'd most likely end up with problems like; "Who does this thread belong to?" (we all know there will be a few ambiguous ones) as well as the occasional, "Oh crap we don't have a mod for something like that". It has the potential to get a bit messy.

Also, building further on the thread leader thing, the crew would then be responsible for editing the forums when the thread leaders ask, as well as investigating normal user complaints of when a thread leader isn't doing their job.

Also I'd like to suggest a three strikes rule for spam and bannings.

Hm... I got a little carried away there...

NO! NO THREE STRIKES RUKLE! A point system, that I can support . But would you ban me for posting three times in cyan or yellow?

Alright, a point system then, advertising gets you 4 points, harassing/fighting with other members gets you 3 points, stretching or vandalizing a thread is 2 points (or more depending how badly), and posting with hard to read colors or with no regard to the language which we call English (typos and caps I can understand, just no chat speak) gets you 1 point. If you get 10 points total then you're banned until your points hit zero again (you lose points at a rate of one per week), if you need to be banned twice though then it's a perma-ban.

Better?

Sounds quite fair. But out of curiosity, what to you mean by advertising?

Advertising other guilds, free ipods, anything that you'd consider spam.

Oh, I see. I thought you meant advertising THIS guild to another. And that's our current goal.

maybe you'd get minus points for that? Wouldn't wan't to be the one who has to keep track of all the points though eek , so maybe 10 points is a little high? how about 5.

@Defunct : you proposal mod. is going to require quite a lot of components and they're all going to have to work pretty closely together, hell, Ladyfriend's was probably going to also...This might not be as efficient as we'd like. maybe a trial run is in order.

Re: Free recruits : maybe as well as linking a newbie to the person who recruited them, we link the recruit to the "thread"/"department" they seem most interested in (provided, of course, if there hasn't been some limit reached on that section), this way, those without a parent member will get one (one of the heads, probably)

[/end mindless ravings]

Yeah, but we'd have to make sure that a few of the sections don't get too much bigger than the others. What if Atomisk's "nemo organization" (my uncle's nickname is nemo . . . ) gets all the Weekly World News fans in Darkstar, and he decides to break off? We are letting him in, but I have a bad feeling. Not that I don't like the guy, he's just a bit . . . well, I don't trust him with my email, much less members of the organisation.
