Who went to see it in the theatres? I did, and it was excellent. I rented it again so my dad could watch it too. Just to see it a second time. Prisoner of Azkaban is still my favorite. I finally picked up a copy of it on DVD. I thought it was a pretty good movie anyways, good enough to watch it a second time. Did anyone get it on DVD?

I got it on DVD biggrin
[I know that the last time I was here in this forum was before the first Ice Age, and I know that I don't live under a rock - it's actually a huge glacier -.-]
I thought the movie was ... not too bad biggrin and it's good to watch every once in a while ... but for some reason I'm not crazy over it. I liked Prisoner of Azkaban better [in terms of the movies]
But the DVD and the movie are still considered worth my money biggrin

As a film student, I was dissappionted with the forth movie for several reasons such as (1) no establishing shots! I'm sorry, but they are there for a reason. (2) too much time and money spend on showy special effects - more of the story could have been told if there wasn't all that fluff. etc, etc, etc. So, while it was fun to see in theaters, I don't think I'll be spending the monye for it on DVD.

Yeah I was really disapppointed as to how much they left out. like S.P.E.W. I mean wtf I see it as an important side event. razz

It was a fairly good movie, if that's it - you're watching it from a movie-goers perspective and not from a book-fanatic perspective. Mind you, I didn't like the third movie either. My favourite is still the first or second, because, in my opinion, they stayed truest to the book, while still making the movie really interesting, and without adding anything absolutely unnecessary.

I didn't get to see it in theaters because my parents are bi***es. They hate anything and everything to do with Harry Potter. I finally got to see it on Easter at my grandparents house. Then I got it on DVD from my grandparents for my birthday. I liked the movie but not all of it. I hated how they left out the part about S.P.E.W. and the part when Hermione found out about Rita's secret and kept her in a jar! That's a big part of the fifth movie!
