He's such a slimy, evil man, but I still love him. heart heart

I don't like him extremely much, because he's a grudge holding prat, but I suppose I'll say I respect him. Even though he should've at least said something to Harry about Sirius when Harry had that dream, he tried to prevent Harry from doing anything, although it failed... So, props to Sevvy for that. Cheers.

I agree with everything. Whenever he's mean to Harry, which is usually whenever they show him, I just want to scratch his eyes out, but he's still one of my favorite characters. I just think he's really interesting; I would love to know more about his past.

Agreed.

I agree with Kari Seregon, he does seem to hold a grudge pretty easily. That thing with James and Sirius happened probably half a century ago [I am, of course, referring to the incident after their OWLs in book 5]. I know it was humiliating but you've really got to move on.

Someone agreed with me for once! YAY! ~Huggles Elviondeln~ heart

Being serious though, Snapey-poo shouldn't hate Harry just because he reminds our dear old Potions master of his school rival. You must ask, what did Harry ever do to Snape? Also, Snape started the loathing attitude. What d'you think would've happened if Snape hadn't had the grudge and treated Harry like any other student?

Complete and utter wackiness would ensue! blaugh j/k

Snape might not treat Harry any differently. He doesn't have any years-old grudge against Neville's relatives, and he still treats him as nasty as ever.

True, but Snape knew Neville's parents, and he was a Death Eater around that time, wasn't he?

Do we actually know what time Snape left Voldemort's side and joined Dumbledore?
