matt got the dvd drive to work!!!!!!!!!111
unfortunately my game won't install. x_x I get the dreaded blank error box. -_- I can't figure out what I did before to find help for that.
and now I keep hearing this noise that I *hope* is matt's new phone because he's still got the speakers unplugged on the computer. -_-

ok, that was matt's phone. the battery was apparently dying and it just shut itself off. domokun

the game installed great! *_* I even played it for a little bit.
then I decided to try my luck and install university. x_x I had all sorts of problems with that! it seemed to install ok, I got to the end where it wanted me to install my dvd, did that, it wanted disc 1 again, did that, saw the university splash and then it locked up. -_- waited a bit for it, got impatient and then eventually rebooted.
well, apparently it didn't finish installing or something because I had to go through that again. -_- this time when it locked up I went to bed. got up around 7ish for some reason and checked the computer. it wanted disc 1 which was already in the drive. -_- I opened and closed the drive, clicked retry and then it seemed to lock up again. went back to bed. >.> I had a drive message telling me it timed out, and behind that was the prompt telling me university had finished installing. *_* clicked the ok button with launch checked, and it did nothing! -_-
so I rebooted and here I am now. I haven't tried to start the game again yet. I thought I'd check out the bbs first.

matt hooked up my cd drive and that fixed my problem. *_* see, the external dvd drive is a usb 2.0 and our usb ports aren't that fast. I knew it had to be something like that when I could copy the files from the game disks just fine.
and I was going to download the patch from the site so it didn't try doing that during installation, but it's going so damn slow. I'll just forget about it. x_x

I am addicted to sims and gaia being of the gerded brokeness I can't afford tow computer's so I am constantly torn between gaia and the sims.
xp but that has nothing to do with it.
I went 5 mothes without the sims I think I went through withdrawel syndrom for 2 of them lol .
the Moral is kid's....Sims are addictive it's fun to screw with people's lives.

When I tried to install the Sims onto my mom's computer, it took forever because it kept locking up. So I kept having to hit "cancel" and start all over. It was an all-day venture, installing Sims then University.
But everything works fine now.
