title says it all.
i want byakugan.it seems more useful. although the sharingan can copy tecniques i wouldnt want someone useing a commit suicide jitsu.

Byakugan. Although you can cop a jutsu, you can only copy the basics of it. Besides, I would be too lazy to actually get the other three commas. P:

Wasn't it said early in the series that Byakugan was a more developed form of Sharingan or something? The bloodline split and formed the two of them or something... Grrr.... -bad memory- >.O
I'd have to say that technically, considering both of them are about noticing fine details, and Byakugan has a farther reach and radius... Wouldn't Byakugan technically be able to do the same as a basic Sharingan, with a little practice? And wouldn't it be able to do it better?
Also, Hinata uses Byakugan, so it's obvious which I choose. xD
Definately Byakugan.

The sharingan one is in my manga, I think. It's like three little curly things and that guy... Sasuke? The grumpy one... Anyway, he says his neck hurts. Dun Dun Dun. The thingie is spreading. Er. Yessss.

Not the part covering the eye.
The covering is actually used to prevent the sharingan from draining his chakra though, considering he can't 'power it down'.
It does it by blocking the sharingan's vision, and therefore, use. So yeah, the sharingan can't do s**t without proper lighting and everything a normal eye needs.
