The white juve was pacing around the waterhole, he wasn't happy here. He wanted to get away, far away.
His wind wandered, his sister went in and out the pridelands often but he wanted to go out and go. He wouldn't tell anyone, just slip away. He wanted to get away from his family, away from the other strange characters that seemed to clutter up these lands. The pride was too big for him and he didn't like it, far too big!

Sick and tired, Bari had managed to scuffle away from the two older lion's sleeping gaze. She wasn't /his/ pridelander, she was her own self. She belonged to no one. The mocha female sneered inwardly slightly, a raspy cough building up in her lungs before releasing itself. Stupid...what's his face! Dunking her in the water before nightfall was a real smart idea! Even though the mane on Chaaz was enough to warm her up, the cold still lingered in Bari's bones.
Not evening noticing the white juvenille male, the female moved towards the water, plopping down with a sigh. Who cared who was around. Who cared about anything? Where was her parents whom were suppose to go looking for her. After all, she'd been missing for a few days. Where was her brother Baakir? Hadn't he promised to be with her as well? Who needed the pridelands....who need a family?

Blue eyes raised as the mocha femme laid down. He had seen her before with her brother and Mosi but her brother had chased her off. He tilted his head slightly and looked at her, "Hey, whats up girl?"
He didn't want to sound sympathetic though she looked in a sorry state but he didn't want to be patronising either so he spoke normally. He didn't stare at her either, he hated it when people stared at him!

Teal eyes settled on the form of the white pridelander. She snorted softly, a glare affixed on Mbali. You'd think being somewhat disabled would cause someone to be a little more...respective around others, right? Wrong, especially with this red tailed lioness.
"None of your business." Bari rasped out, her voice trying to sneer as much as the cold would allow her too. "What are you doing out here? The pridelands to goody goody for you? Or perhaps you finally figured out that your place is in the roguelands." She snorted, coughing slightly before standing up. "It took you awhile." She growled lightly, tail thrashing irritably behind her as she rolled her eyes. I guess she assumed he...was out to stay in the roguelands?

Mbali just listened and took it, something he was good at. "You dont like it though do you? After all your brother and Mosi are here." He spoke in a snide way as he finished his sentence. He then turned from her, "If you want to talk about what ever is annoying ya, I will be over here." He then trotted over to a tree where he laid down half watching her, half watching a rabbit.

Why was what's his face taking this so..calmly?! Her sniddy remarks were suppose to make people upset! Not.. 'you got a problem? let's talk about it'!!! That wasn't right! Bari hmphed slightly, turning her back towards Mbali and letting her tail stick straight up. She was truley a snot ball.
But when he spoke of her brother and Rogue, her tail seemed to flicker. "I thought you adored my brother and his precious /rogue/" She sneered, remembering their last and only encounter. She moved onto her paws, moving towards the white juvenille but stopping a few feet befor ehim.
"Spill it, what do you want?" She hissed out.

He turned all his attention back to her as the rabbit rushed off. "Oh your brother? No, he put me off, flirty isn't he? Mosi seemed to be something of a follower of his. Stupid really." He licked at his paw for a little and then smiled.
"I was wondering if I am right in thinking you hate it here, I was also wondering if that were true if you would travel with me. I dont really want to stay here, too many others. Dont want to go on my own either, I like having company, that and I am too young to get a decent meal on my own." He continued to speak calmly and his blue eyes watched her's intensly for any spark of feeling that might reveal what she truely wanted.

Just for that brief moment Bari's eyes lit up. Someone else really did want to get away from here as well? And they were actually asking her to go with them? It was true, her and her brother Baakir had been planning on going off on thier owns...but who needed her family! Who cared. She'd go off with Mbali just to pay them back for what they didn't do!
"He's flirty ways are gonna get him killed one day." But she didn't frown at this. Instead she sort of...smirked. "And Rogue will be dead before she even hits puberty" There was her father's spiteful personality!
Bari made an indignant sound, turning on her paws as she seemed to reject the offer. But something then happened. "I'll go." She huffed. "Just to piss off my family." She growled lightly.

Mbali saw her eyes light up but kept the smile to himself.
"Yes that may end up being true, for both of them." His eyes were still watching her curiously. He needed her to say yes otherwise he would look stupid, no worse then stupid!
As she said the words that she will go, he smiled. "We go for the same reasons, in a way. Anywhere you would like to go? The world is your home now." He smiled and looked back at Pride Rock. "So long..."

"Hmph." Bari still couldn't believe she was going out of the pridelands with this fellow. After all...it was THIS fellow!
"Anywhere but that direction!" Bari sat on her back paws, pointing towards the west. That was where Ashki and Chaz were...and frankly she didn't want to get caught up with them again. She shuddered slightly, her head craning inbetween her shoulders as she coughed again. "Stupid rogues!" She muttered, teal eyes glancing over at Mbali.
"Who are you...anyways?"

"Thats ok with me. I am Mbali." He didn't mention his parents, her dislike for rouges was quite obviously apparant and though his mother was at the birth of hers, from what he had heard from his mother, oh the dossip she is; his mother was still a rouge first. His father had also been a rouge.
"May I ask what your name is? I dont think I caught it." He then got up and stretched before looking to the south. "Lets go that way."

Mbali? Best to remember that name, right? Bari snorted slightly. "Bari." There was no fancy title to her name now. It was just "Bari". The 'idi'akali' was not needed.
Why head south? "Do you even have ANY ideas where you are going?" Bari asked, blinking. SHe had been thsi way once, but she couldn't remember all to much what was there. Lions...Well duh! They were heading for the heart of rogue territory and whatever lied beyond that.

"Nice to know your name Bari." He tilted his head slightly and chuckled.
"Any idea? Nope, I follow my paws, unless you know what lies south? We can avoid rouges, we are small enough to hide from them and if we keep downwind we should be able to avoid most if not all dangers!" He knew some things not much, but enough.

"More Rogues." She snorted. It wasn't true. She knew what lied south of the pridelands for she'd been there before. Those same blue eyes she remembered...the same pelt of her own was a dead giveaway. Hopefully, if the two had made it to the lands alive, Mbali wouldn't question the familiarity of Bari and the other lions.
"Why avoid rogues? They're too stupid to do anything" She rolled her eyes. Partial of it was true. Most rogues she had come across didn't do anything but lay around and dunk young cubs in water. Oh yes..she hated those rogues. "You're to much of a goody," She coughed slightly. "Why avoid them? Danger brings thrill to our pitiful lives."

Mbali looked at her, "I only avoid the ones who will want to kill me. I like my life thank you." He then started to walk in the direction they had mostly settled on going. "If you want to be killed by an angry rouge... be my guess though." He let out a yawn and trotted off. Happy to leave his former life behind.
