The land was calm for a moment. A dragonfly flew onto a leaf that dripped fresh residew. It laid perched for a moment. Suddenly, a sound of thunder started echoeing through the earth and the dragonfly took off into the sky. The ground shook violently as samurais on horseback and foot ran across. Nobunaga pulled up and watched his men marching towards the next designation. Nobunaga let out his cruel smile as usual and watched as his fatigued men continued pushing like demons. Some stumbled but continued forcing themselves to run. Nobunaga started rearing his horse around and found Ranmaru close behind.
"Ranmaru, sound the men to halt for a rest. We cannot win if they fight half awake." Nobunaga commanded. He then saw Hideyoshi as well and rose up to him.
"Monkey! You shall sound the men in the back to halt. We shall continue shortly after."
Nobunaga then turned his attention from Hideyoshi and rode out near his army. He looked over yonder and could see a large building that was far but at the same time close by. Nobunaga smiled to himself wickedly. Something was going on in his head.

Hideyoshi snapped out of his momentary lapse as he heard Nobunaga talking to him. "Yes sir!" he said, saluting his Lord with one hand. Hideyoshi turned the horse around with the reins and galloped to the back of the company. After he got there he quickly shouted to the men. "Men, we shall rest here for a short time before we battle the remnants of this lord's weak army. If you chance to see our Lord, salute him proudly for he has ordered the rest to help strengthen your resolve for the battle ahead. Remember that, men!" he finished his message, watched the men stop in their tracks. He watched over them until Nobunaga woul tell them what to do next.

Ranmaru noded to Nobunaga and halted his horse. He turned his attention to the samurai and shouted, "Rest here. We will continue soon. In the mean time, rest well." Ranmaru's horse paced around the slowing men. He watced them stop and rest before following his lord.

((Sorry that it's a bit short. I'm still working on that.XD))

((Hmm, I don't think this is going to end too well....))

Zhao Zilong continued at a breakneck speed on his steed, seeing trouble brew in the Heavens above as he approached Wu Chao on his way to his lord's throne. The thunder was the only noise the warrior heard as he moved to the east of the walls, following it around towards his destination. Zilong's faced turned to shock as a force lay in front of him some spans ahead. The fact that he had seen Lu Bu and Guan Yu taking care of some warriors to the south and now this strange set of faces... Perchance my lord is moving to help Liu Bei below us and this is a special unit wearing ally colors... Zhao Yun, feeling a little relieved at his own explanation, continued on horse to the western tip of the troops edge.

"I am Zhao Zilong, warrior of Yuan Shao! Where is our lord, I would like to speak to him of Liu Bei's predicament!? And if not Lord Yuan himself, let me speak to Zhang He, for he will be able to command me!" Chinese had never been shouted over a roar of thunder like Zhao Zilong had just done.

(Don't forget to RP as Toshie is well Joker! You're still playing as him xp )

The men were resting up as Ranmaru and Hideyoshi had commanded. They looked to each other with anticipation of the upcoming battle. They certainly could not wait to fight for their lord. Some of them whispered of strategies. Others whispered of they're burning desire for bloodshed. Others were meditating to regain the loss of energy. Above everyone, a voice boomed over them like that of lightning. Many of them looked over to where the voice was. The strong ones didn't break out of concentration. Behind them was an oddly dressed young man who was speaking to them in the dialects of this land and carried a mighty spear that showed some kind of image of a warrior. He was making a hand gesture to them that involved with a fist glasped by the other hand. What was it, some kind of challenge? The samurais were confused, but was also wanting to see what this man could do with that spear. But they could not act without the commands of Nobunaga. Katsuie turned around to see the chinese man saluting to them. He raised an eyebrow and stared. Was it a sign of respect or a sign of challenge....
Katsuie looked to Toshie who shouldn't have been far behind.
"What do you think this blasted whelp is doing?" the old veteran grumbled.

((I forgot that Katsuie and Toshiie were part of this...eh..heh...But don't worry, I remember...wish the other Oda camp would pick up for Yoshino...and were is Hanbei? I remember that you tried incorporating him somewhere...but I don't remember where...))

"I'd say," Toshiie began, "he is looking for a fight. I would like to shove that spear down his throat." Toshiie was a bit groggy, half asleep, but the voice over the thunder was Chinese, and since it sounded a little less moronic than gibberish to a Kabuki warrior. "You!" Toshiie shouted at the spearsman, "need to shut up before you get slaughtered!"

The warrior sat down on the dirt before laying down. "Maybe Lord Oda will allow me or you to cut his head off and bring it forth....You'd think these people would speak the same language we do, damn idiots. None here could probably stand up to Monkey's strategies, I mean, they can't even grasp a language correctly..." Toshiie mumbled without knowledge of "foreign languages" and these people's intelligence. He sat back up as he waited for Nobunaga to tell Maeda that he could defeat this foe.

((Let me at myself, I've been dying to write a fight scene between two warriors!))

(Yeah, I'll post a different post again in Bei Hai to get Hanbei going and I'll think up of something to do that will include Yoshino. Till then, tear yourself apart! I cannot wait to see this fight. whee )

Nobunaga on his horse stared up to the castle that sat a few miles from where they were. He observed the surroundings and pondered to himself. The castle must be well prepared this time, so the walls will be defended more closely this time. But they most likely still think that they are the army"Sao Sao". Perhaps not. The way these people think is still a mystery. But they shall uncover the thoughts of these foreigners. And when they do, victory shall be theirs. Nobunaga's thoughts were interrupted though by a voice coming from behind.
"Nobunaga Dono! There seems to be an intruder or some man in general challenging us-" the man reported by did not finsh when Nobunaga stared at him with the icy eyes. Nobunaga smiled viciously and rode his horse slowly to the back of his army. He simply uttered, "This will be amusing."
As he came upon everyone that was looking back, there he saw his two strongest generals riled up by the chinese man who stood there saluting. Looked odd to him as it does to everyone else. Nobunaga rode up to Katsuie and Toshie.
"Oh? What do we have here? We don't have time to have little reindeer games now. Toshie! Obliterate this fodder."

"Oda's world doesn't need an idiot like you in it, so let's just fix that!" Toshiie shouted in Japanese as he got off his butt and sprinted towards the warrior on the horse.

Zhao Zilong was paying more attention to the troops as he continued to ask for Yuan Shao or Zhang He, even Wen Chou and Yan Liang. A sudden spear was thrusted up towards Zilong's face, his free hand grabbing below the metal tip. His opponent's strength was nerve wrecking as the thrust continued to a downward slash, literally tossing the Dragon of Chang Sha several feet off his horse, dirt rising and rocks grinding as he barely landed on his feet, using his spear to actually prop him up on the slide.

Toshiie chuckled to himself at how easily he was able to throw this spearsman from his horse. The pony-tailed fighter in front of him was fast, but not nearly as strong as Maeda, who let out a searing battle cry, a defeaning roar, before swinging his Ji wildly and rushing at his foe once again.

Zilong was already on the defensive when he wasn't even looking for a battle, so he raised his spear to block his opponents wild swinging. The aggressor was about Guan Yu's height, barely bearded, with red and white face paint covering the most part of his face, under a helmet of animal hair, wearing a bright purple open robe. CRAACK! The two shafts hit together, echoing louder than even the Heavens' roar. Another loud crack sent Zhao Yun sliding, still standing, further away from his foe. This strength was ridiculous. He could probably hold a candle to Guan Yu as well... Another impact followed swiftly as Zhao Yun's light armor and body were lifted slightly into the air.

Toshiie was beginning to enjoy this. His opponent wasn't even fighting back, not even trying to call a truce or timeout, let alone retreat. The Kabuki Warrior could just keep swinging until this warrior's bones were broken, shattered, and pounded to dust. He flipped his spear at his side, and let out a grand downward strike, his opponent now on his knees just to block the two handed vertical swing from the great Toshiie Maeda. Maybe one more try...

Zhao was failing under the might of this foe. As long as he was being attacked vigorously, Zilong would have to simply defend and be crushed...unless...

Zilong sat under his spear, muscle's beginning to tremble as he was left blocking under the spear of a titan. For Zhao to die without landing a blow would no doubt bring shame to his entire family, but also to Zhang He, Yuan Shao, and Liu Bei.. Even his ancestors, the grand Zhao dynasty that had ruled supremely before the Han had even breathed life, would be ashamed since they were marvelous fighters and strategists in one. How could this one man tarnish the entire land of China by simply allowing himself to be swung at. Turmoil swept over Zilong as the greave of the warrior in front of him knocked his own knee out from under him.

The pony-tailed spearsman was now falling as Maeda took advantage of his downed position. With as much force as he could, Toshiie spun his spear once again, adding momentum to it, while leaping to deliver another devastating blow to the warrior who seemed to be turning pale.

How can I just be beaten. Liu Bei would feel pitiful for knowing me, Yuan Shao would cry knowing that I disgraced him so openly, Zhen Ji would deny ever meeting me, Zhang He would...no...I can't go out like this! I have never been injured in battle and I still am not tired! This man is just wasting my time! "No! I won't give up!" Zhao Zilong shifted his spear to pull himself off the ground. Before the spear overhead even got close enough to Zilong's hair, Zilong had propelled his white, metallic greaves into his airborn opponents chest, using his spear to hold him up. A top his spear, Zhao Yun rolled/cartwheeled back until he fell to his feet, bringing up his spear.

"Damnit!" Toshiie tightened his grip on his spear as he rose to his feet from the fall. He hadn't expected a spearman to kick...especially not when they both have armor on. As soon as he was standing, Toshiie had to resort to blocking, his pony-tailed friend making a highspeed dash and thrusting his spear toward his opponent. The battle was changing tides.

As Zilong approached the warrior, his spears tip was knocked off course by the man's strength. Strength doesn't determine victory. Speed and Intelligence, and the Heavens and the People do! Zilong spun around and crashed the staff of his plumed spear into the ribs of the purple robed titan, sounding several cracks of bones breaking, the force from the man's swing giving Zilong more than enough force and speed. The Dragon of Chang Sha continued as he spun again, leaving his back to his enemy, and pivoted his spear downward, allowing the wooden end behind to thrust itself at the titan's chin. Following suit, Zilong finished his rotation and gave life to a flurry of thrusts and stabs, piercing into the warrior's armor in front of him.

Toshiie was baffled at how this fight had suddenly changed and now he was being pelted with blows to his chest, each piercing and breaking his armor more, his foes spear dipping itself more and more into Japanese blood. The pain stopped for a moment, long enough for Maeda to come to his senses and to see the staff end of a spear slam into his chin, again, with enough force to knock him several feet into the air. Maeda was becoming desperate and injured, so he did the first thing he could think of, he swung his spear wildly again.

Zhao Yun jumped after his opponent, hoping to end this duel soon and see Yuan Shao, and started to swing his spear at the Kabuki warrior, just to get intercepted with a slash to the front of his armor. The Dragon of Chang Sha was growing bored of this scenario, as he once again landed on his feet, using his spear to keep him up, and glided along the ground from the impact. His armor was proving more and more capable and willing to shield Zilong from any scratch and bruise. His opponent had landed on the greaves knee plates and was rising with a flame of fury glistening in his eyes. "Now you die!" Zilong shouted over the thunder in Chinese, his eyes flashing in a blue blaze with a bolt of lightning in the sky, and a blue aura glimmering from the body of the warrior. The spear was firmly being grasped as if it wouldn't be moving much, but the fighter seemed to be readying to become nothing short of a tornado himself.

Thunder roared as the scarlet warrior, Yukimura Sanada, pushed his steed to it's limits, galloping on towards the raging battle of Maeda versus Zilong.

He had battled with the spearman Zilong only once, but the fervor and passion he put behind his spear was enough to make him follow in pursuit of more. Eager for another chance against this warrior, he was also eager in a chance to speak with him, thinking of ways to surpass foreign dialects. "Perhaps pictures?...Seems simple enough." He spoke to himself in his native tongue, his hair tossed by the winds as he rode on.

In the distance he could see two figures battling it out, and he immediately recognized the pony-tailed warrior, the same man he had locked spears with after his arrival into China. Upon further inspection, Yukimura also recognized the warrior opposing Zilong, a general for the Oda Army.

It would go against the Samurai's chivalry and honor to interrupt a duel, and so he began to bring his steed to a slow, lowering his spear to his side, the ties of his headband flowing in the violent wind like ribbons. He kept his distance from the fight, watching intently, ready to bare witness to the warrior in white's true strengths under high tension in battle.

One was definately foe, fighting under the flag of the Oda. But could the same be said for Zhao Yun? True he was foreign, and they were intruding upon these lands, but perhaps Yukimura could create some form of alliance with the warrior, and maybe even recruit him...

An envoy bearing Date's symbol came riding up to where Nobunaga was and immediately started shouting, "Lord Nobunaga! Lord Nobunaga! I have news from Master Date! He has been defeated and is badly injured! You should have seen the giant that he fought!" The envoy was frantic for the most part. He didn't know what to do for Date had never been defeated this severely.
PostPosted: Wed Jul 19, 2006 11:18 pm

Nobunaga only gave a glimpse from the corner of his eyes at the envoy. Malice was streaming from them it would seem. Nobunaga turned his head to the envoy and gave a cold sneer.
"It is the dragon's fault for attacking without order. Let him find help himself. If he wishes, go back to him and tell him to find Takechiyo. He shouldn't be too far as he should be interrogating the men back at the camp. Now...what is this giant you speak of? Go back to your master and aid him to recovery. I will deal with him myself once we swat this insolent dust from our path and take that castle." Nobunaga finished. Before turning back to the fight, he gave the envoy one more icy stare.
"What are you waiting for? Begone!"

Katsuie was aching in pain now. One of his fellow companions was being mauled and battered by the strange man. Such ferocity had just rosen as well! It was too sudden to have caught in time to repel back. That was what had happened to Toshie since he had underestimated this young lad. His hands were clenching into a hard fist as they gripped his folded arms with a terrible might. Unable to watch any longer, Katsuie pulled out his spear and rushed into combat against the foreign dragon to aid his falling companion. With a great and terrible swing, Katsuie brings a full swing downwards upon Zhao Yun that matched the strength of a coloseus. Nobunaga caught glimpse of this and only glared at the old veteran with his arms folded in silence.

Yukimura spotted another combatant entering battle against Zilong. A simple grin was formed by his lips, eager for another battle, and so he would have it now, to even things out for the fierce dragon.

Yukimura charged forward on his horse, shouting to Katsuie. "I see you refuse to let battles be fought fairly. Have you no honor?" He shouted against the wind and rain as he halted his horse a few feet away, leaping from the saddle to drive his spear towards the japanese warrior in a downward assault.

Katsuie was an inch away from decapitating the head of the chinese warrior when suddenly, a thunderous voice boomed at him. Looking at the source of the voice, Katsuie saw a red blemish flying at him. A glint flared at his eyes as Katsuie immediately knew what was coming. Alreadly in mid-jump, Katsuie stopped his spear from slashing Zhao Yun and rather forced a spin in the other direction. This was quite a difficult task for such an old man. Katsuie was tagged by the spear as a red line of blood was left on his forearm. But with the spinning complete, Katsuie grabbed the spear near it's handle and while clutching it, aided the spear on it's way to the ground. Katsuie fell onto the ground with a hard thud, but Yukimura's spear stabbed into the earth with a hard nudge. At this point, the spear might take some time to pull out. Katsuie stood up while holding his blood covered arm and snarling at the red warrior. Katsuie studied the warrior with his frantic eyes and saw that this warrior was wearing a different gear. The red warrior's armor relate that to an army he had seen once in Japan.
"Who the hell are you!?! You another one of these gibberish babbling "heros"!?! Answer you worm!!!" Katsuie hollered as he clutched onto his own spear, ready to charge at the red warrior at anytime. Katsuie did not hear Yukimura's previous comment hence that he still doesn't know that Yukimura is japanese.
