For years, everything was innocent and fun until the prince discovered that he cherished Yuki more than just a friend and wanted him as more than just a friend so he made an announcement that he and Yuki will be married, as the Koosentsu customs are different than the humans; gender did not matter as long as a heir is produced in the long run. Yuki was enraged that he had to marry someone he did not love, at least not in that way, and demanded his parents to break off the engagement but they refused as it was looked to be the best match, Yuki’s family also gain more status and they did not want to refuse their friend’s son. Angry and hurt that his parents did not concern themselves with his feelings, he did the one thing that was forbidden to do in the country of pure snow, to go to the outside world. To do so, one would be exiled and never to return not that one could with the seppen magic that surrounds the country, making it so only Koosentsu citizens could find the country. Though he ran away, he found out later that he was persuaded by people from his country, ordered not only by his parents but by the prince and the king. He can understand as the blood that flowed in his veins were pure and of high royalty and also, he was considered a genius in his country so he is not something Koosentsu would want to loose. He ran for days but was captured and was made a prisoner till the day he was forced to marry the prince but right before, he escaped again. Knowing that they will chase him again, he saw only one way out of his predicament, and that was to become a (rent)slave which he didn’t mind as he would do anything to escape his fate. All Koosentsu are pretty much immune to sickness and poison and will heal faster without even thinking of it. It is said in fairy tales that people of the snow country will have a longer life span and will look forever beautiful and young though no one knows if it is true since people believe the legendary snow country is just a myth.
