Starlock Anyone have some interesting uses for lemonbalm they'd like to share? whee It's really good for invigoration. ^_^ Just sniff it. Lemony scents are awesome for that- or if you've been chopping onions, or anything smelly, crush up some fresh leaves on your fingers and viola! Sweet smell!

I think I heard from a friend that it can also be used to make a decent lemon-flavored tea. I want to double-check that before I use it for that purpose though. whee

I decided to make the tea this weekend and it turned out pretty good. I'm going to make three jars of the stuff now; one for home, one to give away to my parents, and one to keep at work for when I make tea in the morning. whee There's something immensely satsifying about harvesting and brewing your own natural teas....

Isn't there? heart I have a chocolate mint plant that will soon be giving up some of it's leaves for my bellydance teacher. ^_^

My Mum has lemon balm in her garden, but it isn't that big yet, it does smell wonderful though, does it need much swwetening when you make tea from it? i find that all herbal teas need a little bit of sugar in them to help bring out the flavour, but i've never had any made from fresh herbs.

It's lemony and tartly sweet, nice enough without sugar, unless you're used to sweet-tea.

Kyoki Marie It's lemony and tartly sweet, nice enough without sugar, unless you're used to sweet-tea. I don't usually sugar it... though sometimes I might put in a very tiny amount to tame some of the tartness.

Lemon Balm is supposed to relax you, and make you happy. Itt eases deppression, and it's also good for gas. ( surprised ) Sorry if this is too late. Peace.
