oh, i'm so excited! today was the first day of summer band (my first duty day of being co-captain), and during the summer, we accept anyone in 6th grade or higher. i walked to the guard room to find three little sixth grade girls waiting. THEY ARE ADORABLE! whee there are the twins, samantha and stephanie, and then courtney. i could just eat them up. they're really good for rookies too. catch on quick.
the point for all this: little guardies are cute. any relating stories?

As a fundraiser, my guard runs guard clinics for 1st through 6th grade kids. We split into age groups and teach them cute little routines that they perform for their parents at the end. It's pretty cute.
And then there are a few little winterguards of younger girls like the Northmont Wee-bolts and stuff. They always do really adorable shows.

Aww! I want to see little guardie girls! We don't do anything like that here. Then again, guard isn't very popular here. It's all about cheerleading. -.-

There's a prep group from Canada that prepares girls to be on their world class team... they're so adorable. There was a soloist with a 36" sabre and she was GOOD. She threw a four on her sabre with the blade. So adorable.

That's cute~ I think we have something like the fundraiser for younger girls. We don't have any cadet winterguards or anything in our school system, and the activity's not really getting any recognition... I was twelve in the 05-06 Winterguard season, so I guess I once qualified as an "ittie bittie guard girl". Maybe.
