The rules and procedure reagarding GLEA writer's competitions are as follows:
1. When it has been announced there will be a competition, it shall be posted in the 'GLEA NEWS' announcement thread followed by the theme of the competition that shall be announced as a post in the 'COMPETITION PIECE SUBMISSION' sticky thread on the first of the following month.
2. Entrants will then have 20 days to submit a piece via PM to Nebelstern.
3. Before an entry may be submitted, a trade to the value of 50 gold must be sent to Nebelstern following a PM reception of piece verification from Nebelstern.
4. There will be seperate competitions for writers of prose and writers of poetry, and there shall also be joint competitions. Some competitions shall be around event such as Easter or Christmas so please check back often! Prizes range from 100 to 500 gold, depending on the number of entrants.
5. You may submit as many entries as you desire, but each MUST be paid for.
6. The REMAINING GOLD will be PUT BACK INTO THE GUILD, with NO PROFIT to the moderators.
7. Once PM verification of your entry fee and piece have been sent back to you, the piece shall then and only then be posted in the 'COMPETITION PIECE SUBMISSION' thread by the captain for moderator's official evaluations.
8. The winner shall be announced on the 23rd-25th of each month (unless stated) and the prize money for each poetry and prose winner shall be sent out in due course.
9. The winning pieces shall be given the prestigious honour of being archived, and will be marked in the archives with the competition dates and final moderated score.
10. Lastly, the competitions will only take place when there are enough members willing to participate. Some months there may NOT be a competition due to workloads of the moderators etc.
NOTE - Entries will be judged in the same form as the entrance pieces. There is NO REFUND if you wish to withdraw from the competition. All money will then be donated to the Alliance funds.
FINALLY, PLEASE REMEMBER THE JUDGES' DECISIONS ARE FINAL!!!!
