I've only recently begun sweing for my dolls, but I think I've learned quite a bit through my trial and error, and getting punctures with needles ^.~ Does anyone else make doll things? Like clothing, shoes wigs, accessories, furniture, etc? Care to share some tips or experiences? Here's an outfit I made a few weeks ago (I put my poor doll in the scanner for lack for a camera crying ) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/AliciaYuy/Dollfie/CharlottePleatherDress.jpg

I used to make jewelry and accessories for 1/4 scale dolls (like Gene). I was actually one of the first people to sell jewelry for her on ebay. I'm so old...she's celebrating her 10th anniversary this year.
I stopped a couple of years ago, but after reading a book a few weeks ago, I've been thinking about trying my hand at it again.

I make sarees for my Pullips. The pink one is one that I made for my friend. Anyway, they fit into Barbie clothes so it takes about 1/4 yard on it (hem it) and google a search on how to put on a saree properly. They're really just long rectangles of fabric. I'm not good at sewing so this is easy. smile Keep in mind that you want small print because they're little and large patterns look odd on them.

Those are really nice 3nodding I'm at the lowest level of the medium stage, so I ocassionaly sew doll clothes. I mostly make priestess outfits (Random freaky styles a dresses) for my old barbies, dress 'em up, and put face paint on 'em.

I can hardly sew, actually! ^_^;; All I can do is a running stitch, make petals for flowers (not sure what it's called), do french knots and blanket stitches (but I can't start them very well).

I still make clothes for my dolls. I have a japanese barbie wearing a kimono that I made. I really wish I had a scanner! I am making a big version of the kimono for me.
