It was a cool, sunny day in the height of Fall. Elwynn forest was awash in color, the trees were preparing their limbs for the long winter sleep that would await them in a few months. Most was quiet, save for a few evening birds and a cool breeze.
And the barking of a frightened dog.
Thompson's body lay slouched against a tree, blood soaking both it and the surrounding grass. His torso was tattered, sliced viciously several times by a blade. This sword now lay in the hand of a young girl.
Nadia squatted, poking the sword at the riled dog. Her harsh, reptilian yellow eyes looked at the beast with a calm fascination. Humans she had dealt with many times - ever since she'd wandered into this forest of plentiful bounty, that these people so much like her raised in earnest, she'd been hunted. This creature she now confronted was new, however.
Similar in ways to the wolves of which she'd also slain many, this odd animal was weaker and smaller, but at the same time seemed to have a much bigger ego. She assumed the human had befriended it, and her killing the man hadn't gone over well with the creature.
She sighed. It had been so much easier at first. No one knew what she was originally. But after she'd killed a dozen or so, word had spread. And even in this human form she'd worked so hard to master, her eyes still gave her away. Too bad for the ones like Thompson who proved such.
The dog snarled, baring its teeth in a vicious scowl, a bit of foam drabbling. Nadia noted that it didn't attack her as a wolf would when cornered, and took a degree of interest in its superior intellect. She prodded its foot with the sword again.
"I hear his dog! This way!" Came the voice of a man in the distance. The voices of two others replied. Nadia turned her head towards the sounds. She didn't quite understand what they were saying. She had garnered enough of the human tongue to understand some conversation - mostly that which related to killing her - but this new phrase she was unfamiliar with. She decided that this little mini-wolf was called Dog, and figured that whatever was being said, they would be coming for her once they saw their friend.
Uttering a small, sarcastic apology in the ancient language of the dragons, Nadia carelessly shoved the blade through the dog's neck. The unfortunate animal let forth a shrill whine, then fell over, as its last breaths choked away in blood.
It was only a little while longer that the three men's horses could be heard. Nadia perched on a branch, watching them ride into view. They looked well built, and better armed than most she'd fought. They all wore the same outfit, as well. She found it an amusing sight indeed. She understood the humans were a well structured lot, with a disciplined army. This much she'd been warned about before being kicked out of the nest.
The humans slowed when they came across the dead man and his dog, and began talking amongst themselves. Nadia sat and listened intently, even though she didn't understand a word they said.
"Damn my mother for never teaching me this." She thought to herself. She heard the word "monster" and then "demon", both terms she had learned described her well in the minds of these beings. And with that, her eyes glowed, as she began to change shape..

Zaine felt the wind in his scales and the sun above, it was a beautiful cloudy day. Well atleast over Stormwind wich made it a little more easier to fly over, he had gotten bored being kooped up in his cave. When the cards began to part Zaine rose higher up into the sky. He let out a soft sigh as he looked to the small world below, humans were out in the farms working and living it up. He smiled rembering the times he had walked among them and had some fun maybe he would try it now.
The thought lingered in his mind for a while when he caught the sense of blood, curiousty was always Zaine weakness so he looked around for the source. He swooped down below casting a quick shadow above a search party of humans. He decided to land and change in the tree near where he smelt the blood. He choose a male human form to change into, one with dirty blonde hair and blue eyes. He looked like he was coming of age and he stood atop a tree waiting to see what was going on.

A transistion of scenes. The land of the Eastern Kingdoms, Tristfal Glades, Brill, the Gallows End. Truely the end of the line for many a man. And the begining of something else. Time rolls by as a lone man sat and sipped some kind of dirty liquid form a dirty flask at a dirty table. He was rather apathetic to all that was going on around him.
An odd creature he was. I say creature simply because, every physical feature was covered in some manner. Be it bandages on his forearms and legs below the knees. Or the broad rimmed hat atop a suprisingly well kept violet locks which covered almost his entire right fast. If this wasn't enough all but a vibrant azure eye were were wrapped in bandages. Overkill much? While his clothes were rather form fitting, mostly silk which was pressed against his body at his forearms and legs below the knees by bandages, he kept himself shrouded in cloak.
The tavern was never that lively....(Rimshot)... But tonight it was packed with all sorts of riff raff. Drunk and rotting. The undead were celebrating tonight. What were they celebrating exactly. It was anyones guess but if they were happy, it meant someone else wasn't. Cup emptyed he set it down on it's side and let it roll across the uneven warped pine. Tonight really wasn't his night.
It wasn't long before the spill offs of the rave ended up near him. A female undead. All in all she wasn't that much of a sight. Skin partialy free of maggot holes and she didn't smell that much of rott. The voice, hauntingly hoarse. "Hey baby. You lookin for some action...."
One thought ran through the mans head "Why me?" He turned to get a better look at her and his eyes immediately went to her cleavage. Now this was more than simple male instinct. Breasts were not what caught his attention. It was more or less the one maggot hole on her boddy. A slithering creature, most likely a centapede, craweld from the hole and across her chest. Disgusted he stood up and walked down into the basement without a word.
What he found however was probably even more disgusting than the corpse of a whore. Between the barrels of ale, wine, or whatever they contained was a human girl. Cornered by two rotting men with their bones exposed (See if you get the inside joke here.) and they're dead eyes focussed on their victim.
The girl screamed and yelled clutching the rags she wore to her body. This was definitely not good. He had to think quick. Then again rushing usualy worked best for him. Running forward he leaped in the air and twisted to the left sending not his left, but his right leg into the necks of both the monsters. Needless to say they smashed into each other, one skull crushing, the other breaking off the neck. Brains everywehre.
His plan had one flaw however. One of the stumbling bodies ran blindly to the side knocking over several bottles. This would surely alert the rest of the Forasken up top. When rushing causes problems then you gotta rush some more! He reached out to the little girl offering his hand. As soon as she took it he pulled her in close to him holding her up easily with his right arm.
This was it, they were coming down the stairs now. He didn't know how many but he did know that if one came the rest would follow. "I'll keep you safe." his voice a hush. Legs lifted high as he sprinted torwards the bottom of the stairs. Looking up he was greeted by three undead who appeared to be no more than simple ruffians, and one who appeared to be human.....It was one of the famed Death Knights.....

Ashton awoke to the sound of soldiers yelling things to each other out in the streets. "What the hell..." he thought, stretching as he leaned up. He lived mostly in the Cathedral where he trained under the Archbishop to become a priest, but his room just happened to be one with a window. Curious, he peered out of it and listened more closely to the conversation between a soldier and an elder priest he had called out of the cathedral.
"Excuse me, sir. There's some sort of monster out in Elwyn who's killing people at random! She's already killed a good number of farmers, and we fear she may have intentions of doing far worse! Just as a precaution, we're requesting at least one of your priests to help us fight this...creature."
Ashton stopped listening at that. His eyes widened as he jumped out of bed, thinking "this is my chance! Finally, something INTERESTING actually happening around this boring city". After quickly slipping on his robe over the clothes he was wearing, he straightened himself up and strapped his staff to his back before rushing down the stairs to meet the elder priest and the soldier. He prefered the use of a bow, but the staff would have to do for now, as he was out of arrows. Before actually getting to where they could see him though, he slowed himself down and tried to look as professional as possible as he walked up to them and bowed to the soldier, turning to the Elder with a bit of excitement in his eyes. "Elder! I happened to overhear your conversation with this soldier, and I thought that since I'm already up and ready to go, you'd want-"
"To let you go with him?" The older priest said, cutting him off. Ashton nodded, trying once again not to look too boldly eager. He studied the younger priest for a few seconds before nodding. "Very well. You've done well in your studies, plus I highly doubt anyone else would be ready at such short notice... You do know what you're getting into, don't you boy? Many men have already died." The priest said this knowing full well the answer, just felt he needed to show a bit of resistance as a matter of principle.
Ashton nodded once again, bowing to his superior and saying "I'm ready for this!" Exchanging a blessing with the older priest, he turned to the soldier and nodded, casting a protection spell on him out of respect.
The soldier thanked the young priest, saying "There are a few more soldiers waiting for us at the entrance into the forest. They will join us while we search for this monster." Ashton nodded once again, not really knowing how to respond. The soldier bowed to the elder mage and turned, making his way out of the cathedral and through the streets of Stormwind, the young priest close behind. Sure enough, once they reached the entrance to Elwyn there were soldiers waiting. But only two.
"Um... don't you think we'll need more than this? If the creature's already killed so many people, isn't it just stupid to go with so few?"
The soldier shook his head, staring at Ashton. "What do you want, the entire military force of Stormwind going out into the forest to look for one lone...thing? Think about the panic when the citizens found out! No, the people of Stormwind must be kept quiet about this. There's no need for them to know, and if suddenly a huge wave of soldiers were missing, there'd be some suspicion. Now be quiet and let's get going, if you're really as good as you seem to think you are, three soldiers will be more than enough anyway."
Conceding to the stronger man, Ashton followed him and their two new companions out into the forest. One of the other soldiers spoke up, pointing. "We sent out three other men in this direction, following the yelp of a dying dog. I supposed we'd best go see how they are...if they're still alive..." Oddly, Ashton wasn't in the least worried by the soldier's words. He was too excited about actually doing something besides studying. On foot, the party of four walked through the trees to where they were hoping the creature would be. It didn't take long for them to notice the dead body of one of the soldiers on the ground. Cringing, Ashton looked away from the first man he'd actually seen killed. "It wasn't an animal that did this..." he thought, looking at the poor soldier's slashed neck. The younger of the three soldiers accompanying him poked his shoulder, snapping him out of his semi-trance as he silently pointed to a small clearing. There, sitting on the grass further ahead was what seemed to be a young girl with wings. Curious, Ashton studied her and noticed she had a tail and what seemed to be claws for fingernails.
The soldiers were whispering back and forth about how to handle her when an idea struck the young priest. Getting the attention of the other soldiers, he whispered in one of their ears his plan. Nodding, he transferred the message to the other two soldiers, who reluctanlty agreed. Ashton planned to use a Mind Control spell he had learned recently, at the peak of his training. It was a form of shadow magic that many didn't think priests should learn to use, but some learned regardless of what was said. Walking as silently as was possible for the priest, he got in range and begain quietly chanting his spell, concentrating on the creature before him. One thing he had failed to inform the soldiers was he was extremely curious as to what this thing was and why it was here, and he planned on probing a bit in her mind before actually following the rest of the plan.
The spell worked flawlessly. The seemingly weakened creature was easy for him to control, though her will was still rather strong. He probed just at the surface of her mind, looking for the simple information he needed. And he found it. She was a half-dragon, simply out exploring. She was no monster, and was actually rather confused and just defending herself. A bit sympathetic for the strange half-dragon, he followed the rest of the plan regardless, holding her still as the three soldiers restrained her, knocking her out. He released his hold on her mind when he sensed her slip into unconsciousness, he himself feeling a bit exausted. It was the first time he'd used the spell with resistance. Leaning against a tree, he nodded to the soldiers as they carried her away, simply saying "She's half dragon. Seems to be young in mind, or at least ignorant to other people... Don't be hard on her." The soldiers smirked at this, heading off towards Stormwind as the priest steadied himself and followed.
((Good god this was a lot longer than I wanted. *Falls over* Bare with me, I'm not used to this. Plus I'm really wordy. XD; ))

Zaine's eyebrow raised as he watched the soldiers and the priest subdue the half-dragon effortlessly. The priest had used a shadow spell that Zaine himself was oddly familiar with, he had often used it when he accidently was discovered by some random passerby. This day was becoming more and more intersting as it went on, he decided he wanted to see how this would play out and that he would tag along for the ride. He smirked as he perched himself on the tree limb he had been standing on and closed his eyes starting to cast a spell. It was more of a druidic spell so he had a little more difficulting casting it than the arcane magic, but Zaine was no stranger to the world of magic.
The exilirating thrill of magic running through the veins brought a smile to his lips as he began to change shape once again to a more smaller and incospicious animal, a blue bird. Once finished with the spell Zaine stretched his new and strange wings and took flight, he wanted to see what they were going to do with the half-dragon and what the priest was doing with knowledge of shadow magic. He fluttered close to the people looking onto them and to there captured prey trying to stay close to hear if they talked about the female or of anything else Zaine was intersted in.

((I do have a plot idea, but I want to hold it off for a while. I have this thing about plot rps > They seem to become jinxed just by existing. Anyway, here's my post!))
Nadia opened her eyes slowly. The first thing she noticed was that an incredible numbness permeated through her body. She couldn't move, not even enough to turn her head and see more of where she was.
But what she did see bothered her. It was a long, rectangular room, lined with bookshelves. Directly ahead of her there was a large green swirling vortex, and she could feel the emanations of a second a ways behind her. Milling about were various robed figures, most of them human, but there was a single elf in their presence.
Something prodded her tail.
She strained against the binding spell with all she was worth, but it wouldn't give. She heard murmers in the strange human language. There was one voice that sort of stood out from the rest - that of a male. Thinking back, she remembered vaguely struggling against some force working its way into her consciousness, and assumed it was him. She ached to see who had brought this on her, and even moreso to kill him.
"She's awake." The mage told Ashton. The grizzled old sage patted Nadia's head, and smiled slightly. He could feel how violently she was struggling against his spell.
Ashton squatted in front of her. \He was immediately fascinated by her strange eyes.
Nadia, in turn glared daggers at him. If every thread of her being wasn't being held in check by this arrogant bastards she would have rend this man apart. Cast a spell or two, set his body aflame, dig his entrails out with her claws, ANYTHING. He was so... so...
Nadia blinked.
What lie behind this human's eyes wasn't something of scorn. A bit of awe, a little fright, but there was some soft quality behind them.
To this, Nadia could come up with no explanation. She averted her gaze as best she could, and when that didn't work, closed her eyes - the one action she was still capable of - and tried to peice together what terrible thing this new look must have meant. This human was of a different breed than the others - he was magical. There was no telling what kind of torment he was planning.
Again she fought, only scarcely aware of how quickly she would be brought down by the surrounding mages who had gathered should she break free.
"She's of that fiend Deathwing's brood." The mage said, running a finger down her obsidian wing lightly. "But it doesn't look like she's got any more innate madness or hatred in her than a wounded wild animal.
"She's an incredibly dangerous creature, nonetheless." The female elf said, leaning over to eye Nadia, "And there may be more somewhere. Dragons lay several hundred eggs at a time."
"No, no. For something like this girl to exist, it would require a perfect harmony between the dragon's and human's blood. It's a miracle such a creature as her would survive past the egg." Came another voice.
"If it was even an egg. What if.."
"Don't even think about that!"
"Either way," The old wizard said, joining Ashton and the elf to peer at Nadia's face. The dragon girl looked up defiantly. "We have to decide what to do with her, and what to tell the people in town."
All these people surrounding her, and she didn't understand a word they said. For all she knew, they could be mocking her, deciding who to deliver her to next, or even how to cook her up. She had no idea. "What are they saying?!" Nadia thought frantically, trying in vain to use her limited knowledge to piece their words together. "What are they planning?!"
And for the first time in her entire life, Nadia felt afraid.

A small mouse scurried along the magical room with large amount of mages and elf. How entersting this woman had become not only did she smell like a dragon but not be a dragon but she had attrackted a shadow priest and elf into her mits. She could se the plain look of fear on her face the desperate need to get away from her enshaclement. He had once felt that pain and never wish that fate on anyone except his enemies. Since nothing to bad was planned against an innocent sentient being Zaine had stood back and watched without intefering, watching from the eyes of various animals. He had to be careful around mages though some had a peverse feeling to elimante vermin on sight as sick game or practice of there skill, he had to avoid the magic without looking to mutch as a lucky ordniary animal.
He wondered if it would be alright to make his presence know to the semi dragon. With all the mages around he had to be extra careful about using un needed magic and keeping a low profile. Scurrying behind a book case he hid and listned carefuly what the people were talking. Deciding what should be done with the creature, his better half got the better of him and decide to reach out the half dragon. Relaxing his mind he reached towards the semi dragon trying to make its presence known so it would not be alarmed by a voice and cause suspicion among the mages. He sent a message toward the mind of the semi dragon and only to her making sure to watch out for easedroppers "Are you hurt? Are you alright?" He reapeted the message twice once in the draconic language and the other in the Alliance common hoping it would understand one of the dialects, curiouser and curiouser he had become.

And now back to the other story currently taking place.
Boom!
The purple haired man crashed out of the window still clutching the small child to him. There was a thud as he hit the ground, several more followed as he skidded along. "s**t, this isn't good." HIs first instinct was to stand and fight but he had to help the girl escape at all costs. His aggressors were suprisingly fast for being undead and having a large suit of armor. Already they had moved to sorround him.
"Fool." The DeathKnight said in a cold spiteful voice, "There's nowhere to run." And he was right. The undead had already sorrounded them. He pushed himself up from the ground and turned to run, afterall the undead he could easily deal with, but upon turning he was greeted by a fireball, spit by a rather wide undead.
The shock of it caused him to fall back unto the damp grass. The blunt of the fire had been taken by the bandages he wore on his face. But now they were on fire and charred, he had to act quick and rip them off of his face before the he was hurt to bad..... And to their suprise. He wasn't hurt at all. Violet hair moved aside his face was revelead. The top left corner of his face was covered in sleek blue scales. And the left eye seemed so much larger than the right even though it was only the enlarged iris which was a deep red with a reptillian slit of a pupil.
The girl kicked and screamed upon seeing his face. She struggled to the point where he had to let her down to keep from hurting her. And she ran to the only thing human in the area. The DeathKnight. He greeted her with his blade which cleaved her head clean off. The sorrounding undead immediatley lunged upon the body biting and tearing at the flesh.
"You monster!" He growled at the DeathKnight who responded, "You're calling me a monster? What hellspawn are you?"
"I am Gavriel Rahlav...And I'm going to kill you." He spat out the words as he began to strip himself of his upper body clothing. The coat and shirt and bandages he peeled off and threw to the side. His entire torso was covered in patches of scales, along with his entire left arm which ended in taloned fingers. Covering the flesh and scales were tribal tattoos symetrical in design. Two notable ones were on his back in the place where wings would be.
Indeed he was a freak of nature. It was as if fate hadn't decided what to make him and just threw him together from a bargain bin. Whatever the hell he was he was pissed. His body was launched forward and propelled by his rage. The DeathKnight was taken off guard by the ferocity of his attack and Gav's claw clasped around his throught. digging the claws into his pale flesh. Blood trickled down the talon like nails. The free hand he drove into his face. Over and over again he pounded into it. Even after the knight closed his eyes and slipped into unconsiousness(sp?).
Both hands ere covered in the blood from the DeathKnights face he stood up to leave grabbing his clothes as he headed torwards the graveyard, this wasn't the best idea. Most of the undead had already left to either get away or get help.
His exit was swift. Redressing himself and fixing his face with some more bandages from a coat pocket. It was time for Gav to head south. He had to do some dealings with a certain Archmage.

(Woo.. time to completely interrupt any established posting order! Go me! : razz ersonal cheerleaders rush out and dance. And such. : smile
It was a memorable environment he woke up to - seagulls calling, swooping around to pick up stray morsels of food, a strong seawind blowing the smell of salt into everything it came in contact with. Goblins, members of the Steamwheel Cartel, ran around the docks preparing for the next passage to Booty Bay. His eyes blinked open and his senses came full aware just in time to hear the commanding Goblin, "Last call for Booty Bay!" A whistle blew and the ship began to slowly pull out of port.
And that's when realization hit him; he had business in Booty Bay! He fell clumsily out of the hammock he was lounging in, hitting the ground with a loud thud and sending dust into the air. His short goblin feet see him up and towards the dock, grabbing his small shoulder-bag on the way by, still coughing the dust out of his mouth.
His feet hit the planks quickly, his stubby green legs moving with abnormal speed. The boat was gaining speed and moving away from the dock faster than he would have liked. The shoulderbag, heavier than normal, was hefted over his head and placed - where else - on his shoulder. Finally he reached the end of the dock and pushed off the end with as much force as he could muster.
His small goblin body flew through the air, quickly closing in on the ship. He caught the ratlines, his fingers hardly grasping the ropes before they moved out of reach. Swinging off the ratlines, he landed onto the deck with a thud, limply lying, his chesting heaving in quick breaths. For now, he would simply lay there, regaining his energy.
