Aletea smiled at the plushie she'd placed on her desk. He was so cute! Well...it could be a she, she supposed, but it seemed more like a boy. When she'd seen him at that shop, she couldn't help but buy him. She had always loved dragons, so it didn't seem to strange to actually get a dragon plushie..Though she had no doubt her friends would tease her if they found out she had bought a stuffed animal.
With an amused shake of her head, she headed out of her room to the kitchen, and there she grabbed a soda and some chips. What better snacks to eat while playing on the computer? The answer is always simple: Junk food is best.
She headed back into her room, and sitting at her desk, began to play around on her computer. While she did so, she chatted with her plushie. Mayhap that was a bit odd, but it seemed like it was listening...so she talked. About random things, which were mainly just thinking out loud - but she still felt like Akiya (for that was what she had decided to name the little dragon) was listening.
Ah, silly me...

Aletea yawned, and stretched. It was pretty late...well, maybe not as late as she'd stayed up on some nights, but she'd had a pretty long day. So she reached over, and flipped on some instrumental music - she almost always slept with music. And it wasn't always relaxing music like this, either...sometimes it was rock, or even on some rare occasions, techno.
She grinned at Akiya, and quirked at eyebrow, "You like the music?"
She honestly didn't expect an answer, and wasn't surprised when she didn't get one. Afterall, why would a plushie talk to her? The girl would have been mightilly startled if he had spoken. So she stood up, picking up Akiya in the process, and headed off to bed.
She knew she'd get made fun of for sleeping with a stuffed animal, but it wasn't like anyone was ever going to find out.

When Aletea woke up the next morning, it was with a loud squeak that she greeted the day. And the aparently sentient, former plushie that was laying with her. And moving. The girl just stared at it for a few moments, as his eyes opened...aparently, her squeak had woken him.
It was quite a bit later that she'd get any sort of comprehension from the young creature - Akiya aparently was not a morning..er...dragon. In fact, he was quite incoherent in the morning. After she'd finally gotten over her shock at the fact that yes, her plushie dragon was alive, and Akiya over his zombie-like feel for the morning, she decided that she should head back to the shop and see what was going on.
Well, beyond what Akiya had told her...he was smart, but he seemed pretty childish - she guessed that's what he was. It was entirely a guess, as she had no idea if a former plushie even could have a specific age.
And thus, she left her home with Akiya in her arms, after nervously giving at glance at him. What if somebody saw him - or nobody saw him, and thought she was insane? With those thoughts in mind, she left.
