Beginning with Columbus, ending with, well, now. Feel free to make topics about this, though.

Blah. I dislike Columbus. He never even touched the mainland. Let's talk about Vespucci instead.

Okay. Why does everyone bring up Columbus. If we really wanted to talk about American History from the beginning we'd mention the Bering Land Bridge, and go on from there. Also, don't forget Lief Ericsson. He was one of the first explorers to discover the mainland of North America. He landed somewhere on the Eastern seaboard of the United States/Canada and called it Vinland because of the grapes he found growing there.

Columbus is a b*****d that deserved to die. Can't we talk about someone cool? ~Searches through head for someone who doesn't suck.~

Oh. They made an animatronic Huey Long. Which is just rather amusing. Yes.

Marry me?

Erik the Red and Lief Erikson (sp?) kick Columbus's pansy arse. So yes. Random off topic point that might get Blicey to kill me: Runes, the school paper I'm co-editor of, used to do this weekly thing called Lieflet.

Sorry, I can't. I could give an explanation, but it would lower the WF's opinion of me immensely.

Pity. I would think that my wives would like you. Then again, my harem is kind of depleated after the whole 11 person divorce thing...

~Successfully resists urge to make remark about low opinion.~

So, how about them historical figures?

That would explain a lot.

Historical Figures, how about Scipio and Hannibal? The Punic Wars? Battle of Marathon? The History of Sex? (Note: that actually got recorded on my roommates TiVo last night for some reason. I think it might have been the amount of alcohol I had to drink.)

I was thinking more along th lines of Guy Fawkes. Who is so my hero. Just for being that horribly stupid.

Random historical facts that may or may not be useful:

-Ben Franklin has 74 illegitmate children. (I used to watch Cram back when GSN didn't suck. I could so kick a** on that show.)
-James I of England may or may not have been gay. It is only known that he liked to grope and drool over young men in his old age. (London. Good book.)

I'll think of more when my head decides to work.
