The year is 1301, the turn of the new century has just passed, and the new king, Prodentia, has just established a new law, everyone must give up their beliefs and worship him. The world is in turmoil, children are slaughtered, armies are mustered, and people are disciplined. However there is a secret society that has recently gone underground called A Divine Light. They are a resistence of dragons, humans, elves, and dwarves, who have come together to fight the evil king, however they are too weak and need a greater power, the greater power they are named after. The sword, a divine light.
The sword was created eons ago by the master dwarves in the furnaces of Heaven. It was touched by the angels themselves, and it has the power to vanquish all evil. The sword is the key to all the races problems, but it is not so easy to reach. To get the sword, a single person must prove themselves worthy to get it, then they must use it only for good, if they use if for bad, they are damned for eternity and will suffer the worst torements in Hell. The sword is located on the mountain top of Vesuvius and is safe guarded by thousands of magical beasts. The sword is only able to be touched by one's intentions are pure. As so the Prophecy reads:
One alone, and One alone,
shall have the sword of old,
Only one, who has forever known;
and not ready to be sold.
One pure of heart,
one pure of bravery,
ready to part,
to have us all saved indeed.
The magic is tragic,
the power is sour,
but it will save humanity,
the elves of all,
most highly tall,
saved too with thee.
Dwarves of known,
shall have the thone,
yet will still serve.
Dragons majestic,
known of ballestic,
and till will have the nerve.

1. Literacy is a must.
As a friend states, everyone should have at least a 7th grade level of grammar. I also include spelling in this. Keep your spelling accurate, try to use 'big words' please, that way we can all learn something new.
2. No godmodding, spamming or bumping.
This rule means, no playing as another person, no posting random stuff in the middle of a story, and ABSOLUTLY no "^^ bump! LOL OMFG!!^^" stuff, or you will be banned.
3. No pictures, please. Describe your character in words.
As the LOL states, "A picture is worth a thousand words, but only n00bs use pictures." stick to this, and describe your character elaborately.
4. Romance is okay, but keep it at PG-13.
This rule mean kissing and hugging are ok and all, but no references to sex or anything of the sort, or I will sooo report you.
5. OOC should be in double brackets or double parenthesis.
Any conversation, question, or anything of the sort that is not included in the story should be in (( )), {{ }}, or [[ ]].
6. No suicide or killing of your characters unless voted.
If you want to leave this story, then simply tell us, we will vote and see if we can 'replace' your character or whatever. It's your choice in the end.
7. Have fun.
