This is where you can make ideas about what thread you want made if you don't have enough information or knowledge to create the thread yourself. Thanks to Dorg Endo for the idea. I will make a list of all the ideas on this first page. That way anyone can easily look at the topics that people want to discuss but don't know how to start threads for and start one. If you do post a thread pertaining to something on the list, please make a post so I can remove it.
List Nothing yet.

Well, I never see this brought up in the regular ED forum, so I'll assume it's not an overdone topic. I was hoping someone would be able to make a thread about the effects of music on our society, minds, and our psyche. I have no clue as to how I would go about making the thread myself, so it would be really cool if someone with better insight on the subject could make it.

I'm actually going to do a report on that for psychology class. Once I'm done that, maybe I'll make a thread and use my findings.

For music I think it would be interesting if you gathered viewpoints on both why people do and don't listen to music. Not just what kind of music, but as a whole people who actually do and actually don't. Even though most people listen to music there are people who don't, but that always seemed to be over looked when I read or talk with other people about music. Just an idea to throw at you, because then you would really be talking about music as a whole, not simply what genre people listen too.

I know that many, many people have questions about what Christians believe, how they relate to the Bible, the exclusivity of their views on heaven, etc. There are countless threads in Extended Discussion on the religion- negative, positive, or simply inquisitive. ...Well, my dad is actually a Baptist pastor (a very levelheaded and tolerant kind of guy, though)! I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a thread where he could respond directly to questions and concerns people had about Christianity specifically, or how the Bible relates to politics and social issues. He also has degrees in Ancient Languages and World Religion from a liberal seminary, so he's extremely knowledgeable about other religions and religious texts as well. He's also hinting that if the exchanges turned out to be interesting enough, they could be included in a future Baptist Press (http://www.bpnews.net/) article.

That sounds pretty cool +Phaggot+, though I think it might work best if people had a weeks notice (so they could arrange to show up and think of questions). I know I'd like to ask a Pastor some questions anonymously online xd .

Sure, I wouldn't start the thread unless there was genuine interest in it. If at least five people give the thumbs-up, I'll make one; how about that?

I'm liberal-ish Catholic myself, and I think it would be quite interesting to hear some of the finer points of being in the Baptists Dominian.

I would do it, but I think taking care of a petition, a guild, and a couple threads is enough for me. sweatdrop
