I almost choked on my lunch! I was SO psyched about the possibility of a sequel to FE9! And I'm hopeful that it is in fact a sequel.

Either the main character is Sothe or the designers at FE have seriously lost their mojo.

No kidding. There was so many loose ends in the game! Plus that last little scene with Sephiran was too much of a teaser for there not to be a sequel.

I'm crossing my fingers at any rate. And I hope we don't have to wait too long!!!

YAY! So according to that Nintendo Power Magazine thing Nintendo has confirmed the green-haired dude to be Sothe!!!

Which in other words means:

SEQUEL!

And now I'm officially convinced. There is just too much left open for there not to be. I just got done reading the support between Bastian and Volke, and it BEGS BEGS for a sequel!

I never used Bastian, but I always like his persona and character. I like the way he talked.

But I didn't need any other mage sides from Soren. Nobody's better than Soren.

Also, in terms of the person Sothe was looking for, he says the person is family, but not related by blood. If the girl is in fact that person, at least we'd know they weren't brother and sister. Lately the FE games have starred bro/sis. pairings.

ahaha yeah, I understand. Bastian is a unique one.

But yeah, the entire reason Sothe joined the group was so he could look for this 'person' special to him. He never finds that person in PoR. Plus, if you kill Sothe in the game, he doesn't die, he just runs off. All the more convincing in my book.

Just had a thought, what if there is a reason he doesn't class change? What if you get to transfer data? .... going to make a new game and seriously level Sothe.... eek

my theory would be because in all FE games, the main character ALWAYS has been a Lord. The new FE will most definately start with a un-promoted theif Sothe. I understand how the creators would think that starting off as a strong assassin wouldn't be challenging enough yada yada. In short, they wouldn't want to promote him cuase it'd be too difficult to explain, you'd never be able to promote older Sothe if he's already promoted. Jeez, that means the creators REALLY thought ahead. Hail creators.

And, although having transferrable data would be beyond coolness, I think there'd be a lot of complications with that too. First off, the whole memory card issue. Sure the Wii is probably backwards compatible but I doubt they'll make it so you can basically start where you left off. They do have to keep in mind that there would be a chance of someone not playing the previous PoR. Also, for all we know, Sothe is the only returning (or at least playable) character (But we don't hope that! PLEASE!! let there be more Soren!!!!!!!!!!and Reyson!!!!!!!!and Naesala!!!!!ahaha)
