Hmmm... What to say about labels.

{} Remember when we were little. We were all the same, although our differences, we saw eachother as a person. We didnt care about Race, Color, Religion, Sexual Prefrence, Ex. Now all it seems to be is a race for whos better.

{} Its not as bad as they say, the way I see it currently. I find that every group of people has little clusters of people.

For example:

Goths
Country Hicks
D&D Fans
Emos
Preps
Jocks
Drama Nerds
Band Geeks

the list goes on...

------------------

I don't see a problem with most groups. It is fine to hang around with the people who are most like you, and it makes more sence. I mean if all you do is listen to Heavy Metal, write depressing poetry, and cut (NOT THAT THATS A GOOD THING) You wouldent want to be hanging around with the Preppy Cheerleaders. Talking about that nice skirt that they saw at the mall last week, how their father grounded them for maxing out their credit cards, and talking about Chris Brown and how hes comming to town next week and you NEED tickits.

Most people I know... wouldent be cought DEAD with anyone like that, but I know alot of people wouldent be cought dead with people like us.

I don't think many people have shed the light on this subject. I mean they have with tring to dominate their 'Clique', and clamming to be one. Although, have you every saw someone talk about WHY they are bad?

Its not the fact that you have the label, Its what becomes of it. Its bad enuff that we have these stupid names for ourself, but everyone does. Not even just cliques anymore. Races and Religions and many other things have been set off to this citisusm.

The problem is the hate that comes allong with being who you are. I remember when I was little, my mom used to point out the people in big black baggy cloths, chains, covered in tatoos and piercings and say to me "Never look like that, or I will ring your neck." I never thought anything of it, untill I started getting intrasted in those Black Cloths, Chains, Piercings and Tattos and the music that comes along with it.

Just because a person is labled somthing like Goth, doesnt mean they are. Everyone is their own person, in some ways they follow the crowd.
Everyone knows that, but why do they continue to sterio-type people. Like on SouthPark ((Dont get me wrong I love the show to death.)) Every single person capable of knowing its view on the Jewish, would probley dissagree with it. I do in a way, I know its comedy... but saying someone is a BAD PERSON because of their beleaf is just wrong.

Anything involved with Lables and Sterio Typeing.

Cliques and groups seem to be a big issue that most people face... To me, it just seems like the person is creating drama for themselves. Friends should be people who you like and who like you, people who share the same interests who you enjoy spending your time with, regardlessof 'Social Status' or popularity.
I'm not one for labels and prefer to be unclassified. My friends and I are sort of the missing link... we don't exactly fit into any one category most people stuff their peers in. Labels are basically walls people build that can block out potential friends and kill the possibility of good times or shared experiences in the future.
In my personal opinion(which may or may not be the views of fellow guild members), people who call themselves "emo" or "preps" or "nerds" are just following trends or allowing themselves to be degraded or seperated in society's eye.
My point is, friendship is interested in character, not labels. Character is personality, character is behavior, character is self-esteem. Character is what makes a person, and character is what people seeking friendships are interested in.

Well I am just gonna say something here yes your right but there are parts where you are wrong sorry. Like take me for an example I am borderline between PUNK-GOTH but I hang out with people who like RAP even if I hate it sure it dosen't make sense but you hang out with people for other reasons like we have alot in common sure we may have different ideas of whats cool but some are the same you don't hang out with someone just because they are the same that makes no sense heres another example sure someone who likes rock and hates rap may hang out with someone who has the same thinking but that dosen't really mean they hang out for all that it could be that person could may very well hang out with gangsters and visversa see what I am trying to say also going back to me I hang out with Thrill-a-night and Spedchild14 and they have their time when they are annoying but still I hang out with them because thay are my friends and even if we have have some differences we still have alot in common so we hang out understand. mrgreen

You are you!

But, on cliques, I feel this is a growing problem. Everyone knows about the segregation African-Americans faced, the massacre of the Native Americans, and the Holocaust. And, if you don't, GO LOOK IT UP RIGHT NOW!

But isn't seperating ourselves into little groups based on clothes or lifestyle segregation? The definition of segreation is the policy or practice of separating people of different races, classes, or ethnic groups. Well, most of the people in a clique come from the same social class. Are not cliques a bit like segregation?

I have no problm with other groups. Only the people who pick on you or think there better than you. Recently ive been i gyess you can say Banned from my group . They thought they were better than me.That pisses me off. Anybody thats not fair. Isnt right and needs some help. Without those kind of pll this world would be perfect. Now having a perfect world a good thing?m not sure.

My friends and I don't really have a name....I mean besides like looser but I don't really care how people labell me becuase I don't think its worth changing for a person you barley know why would somebody want to change them selves everyone is different and thats what makes people unique.I'm not sure what we actaully are lablled as but whatever it is I'm pretty content...

Yeah, me and my friends are just ourselves and we don't care what other people think of us. One important thing is not to let other people control how you live your life. Personally, I talk to people from all sorts of social groups if you'd call them that. Now, I have my friend that I hang out with the most, I think we'd fall into the punk/emo/goth group, but I still have friends elsewhere.
