The Festival of Life was the biggest celebration in the Faufer Clan. All the members came down from their lofty home to give thanks to the earth for all her blessings of life. Both Prey and Predator. Flower and Animal. All life was her doing. Food was prepared and games were played. Stories were told of ancient times when life was young and wild, before the cougars had conquered the trees.
((Please remember this is a very sacred festival for Faufer. They are the most spiritually connected tribe *as I know it* and will love to decorate and make things to portray the beauty of life. This could be in song, dance, or art.))

Without the need to climb Titania floated from the tree tops to land silently upon tiny delecate toes. She was a small cougress, even for her age she was very dainty in her appearance. miling to everyone she passed she held a mass of plants in her arms. Some were flowers others were simply herbs with sweet heady scents which filled the air as she passed.
Making her way to a little spot in the clearing which she had set up the night before she set to work to light a small fire, her herbs and flowers set to one side where she could easily access them.
Once the small fire was burning she puurred softly and pulled one of the herbs from her pile, throwing it on the fire a purple lick of smoke kissed the air and after a moment took on the shape of a bird. The crackle of the fire could perhaps be mistaken for this birds call. The little female smiled and nodded. she hoped people would like her little display it was the only way she knew tro honor the godess of life.

Younger kittens, still holding their mother's tails, squeeled happily at the strange bird call and smoke. Soon the fragile cougar has a small group of young ones watching her performance. Each one got a rousing little cheer from the group.

While her mother was busy at the cooking fires, Mau managed to slip away from the excitement. This was one of those times of the year when her dullness was exceptionally noticable. A little ways away, there was a dainty green and pink colored fairy cougar tending to a fire. Drawn by the scents, Mau wandered over, careful to stay partially hidden.

Timore would crawl down her blanket wrapped around her body as if it were a shield that could protect her but as she looked around she would loosen it just a little. She smiled and then looked out and saw "HER" across the way. She glared at the elder cougar and stuck her tounge out pretty muchly sure she couldn't see that far way. She was still upset that Tabitha had been so mean to her. Well... I'll show her who's afraid of her! She would muster all of her courage with that little speech and march over to her and state clearly. "I WANNA LEARN HOW YOU DO IT!"

Oh but who says she's that blind.
"You eat a bug or something kitten? Keep that in your mouth!"
The grumpy old cougar had been begged to join the festival this year since she was most knowledgeable of the old stories and tales. However she was watching the young winged one making shapes in the fire. But then she was confronted by the surly kitten.
"Learn how to do what kitten. Speak to the point! If only give one direction a party will lose its way forever. You must be more detailed."

She shook her head and muttered softly. "Crazy old coot." But she would push her shoulders back and raise her head up to look Tabitha square in the eye though she would wrap her blanket slightly more tightly about her. "I wanna learn how you do what you did with my Mommy! I also want you to apologise for being so MEAN to me!" She crossed her arms a look of fierce determination on her face.

"I don't apologize for telling kittens what I see in their act. Its ment to open up your eyes as to how others see you! I don't care what you think of yourself, how you show what you think of yourself is more important. It commands respect. And right now you don't command all that much.
As for the birthing, it is best learned in practice. Find another pregnant mother and feel her bell. Get an idea of where the kitten's head and rear are. A baby must be head down to come out. But you must be gentle lest you hurt them. For they are like a butterfly's wings. Strong enough to withstand the mightyest wind but can be torn apart by the careless hand."

From her place pressed nearly flat against a tree trunk, the rich red wood nearly matching her hair, but still a startling contrast to her stark and dull coat, Mau listened to the exchange in surprise. Timore was known for being afraid of everything, had she actually raised her voice and demanded something?
Despite her surly demeanor, Mau found the old cougaress to be much less intimidating than most of the brightly colored Faufurs.
"Butterfly Wings.." she whispered to herself. She knew the advice was not meant for her ears, but she would do well to remember it. Anything that would help her earn her place in the tribe was worth remembering.

Timore wrapped he blanket ever more tightly about her body stealing all the strength and courage that she could from it. "Teach me! Please.... I... I want to know how you do what you do."

"Heh, I don't know if the blanketed kitten is up to it. If you want to learn, you will have to come to my cave for lessons. I do not venture into the villiage unless I have to."
She continued to just stare at the kitten, her face still showing annoyance...but was it an act?

She pulls the blanket tighter still so she is almost in a coccoon the blanket is so tight as she squishes up her eyes. "Teach me!" That is all she says. "After the Festival." She seems to add as an afterthought staying there and trying to exert her will on the old cougar to get her to do what Timore wanted.

"Well shall see if you are worth it."
With that the old cougar ignores her.

Sensing that the conversation was over, Mau waited a bit to make sure that the old cougar's attention was no longer on Timore. Then, she approached them shyly, and tugged on Tabitha's tail to get her attention.
"Please, um..Healer, m'am? Would you tell us a story?"
She looked up hopefully. The old healer knew the best stories and although she often resisted, she was the best at telling them!

Tabitha glanced down at the kitten pulling her tail.
"I have many stories. What do you want to hear?"
