Rules and Things You Should Know
1. I can't say this enough. MAKE SURE THE LINEART YOU GIVE ME IS YOURS OR THAT YOU HAVE PERMISSION TO USE IT. stressed I don't want to be closed down for art theft.
2. No flaming/harrassing/begging/whining/bitching. Bad behavior or refusal to pay will result in a blacklisting, and trust me, this guild communicates quickly. If you find yourself blacklisted by one or two people, you may discover that nobody else in the guild wants to work with you...
3. Please be patient. I do have school and a life. I can't be chained to the computer desk feverishly scribbling away at your drawing. It shouldn't take me terribly long to complete your picture, but if I'm having particular troubles or something irl comes up, it may take longer. Have patience and please don't bombard me with PM's whining "When are you going to be doooone?"
4. I will do my absolute best to produce my finest work for you. That said, if you feel I screwed up, it may be possible to fix it. If I was a dumbass and colored your person with pink hair instead of green hair, I'll fix it for free. If it's something else, like you wanted dark blue but only said "blue" and I colored light blue, there will be a charge for it.
5. I will not color hentai or anything else that falls outside the Gaia PG-13 rule. I don't care if it's art, I'm not going to get banned for passing around over PG-13 pictures. If it wouldn't be approved in the art arena, don't send it to me. I will do (tasteful!) nudity.
6. If you come in and see that my waiting list is full, please DO NOT PM me with an order or with a sob story about why I should drop someone off to make room for you. Please wait patiently until a spot opens up. Waiting list spots will be first come, first serve (not that I'm expecting much of a crowd... sweatdrop ) If the list is full and you absolutely CANNOT wait, you can make your way onto the Bribe List. whee Send me a sealed donation letter and you will be put onto the Bribe List (unless of course it's full xp ). People on the Bribe List will have priority when a spot on the waiting list opens up.
7. UNLESS YOU EXPLICITLY TELL ME OTHERWISE, YOUR ART MAY BE USED AS A SAMPLE IN THIS SHOP. If you aren't the lineartist, don't worry about it; the lineartist is the person I'll be asking. If you are... don't say I didn't warn you. If you didn't read this, it's your fault. All breedable art used as samples will have SAMPLE written across them in big red letters to prevent stealing.
8. I would prefer NOT to be a permanent colorist at any one shop; however, if you'd like to hire me as a guest colorist, that's perfectly fine. I'll even do more than one pet if you want. I just don't want a permanent job. I prefer doing lineart to breedables, in any case.
How to Order
How to order lineart coloring:
1. Get yourself some lineart! Draw some, have some drawn for you, whatever. Just DO NOT pull some from somewhere out of the murky depths of the Internet and expect me to color it for you. All lineart given to me to color must be either drawn by you or you must have permission from the lineartist to use it in such a way. You must either tell me that it's drawn by you (in which case I'll have to take your word for it), or give me the lineartist's name, in which case I will PM them and doublecheck that it's ok to color it for you. This may sound paranoid, but you'd be amazed how little it takes to get someone punished for art theft around here. I'm keeping both of us protected this way. heart
2. This would be the stage where you choose a colorist. Obviously, or at least hopefully, if you're here, you're choosing me. Take your time, look through my samples and prices (see below for samples and pricing), and decide what's best for you. It saves us both time if instead of saying "I want it colored softy-blendy-like..." just telling me what sample of mine you'd like the style to resemble.
3. Speaking of telling me, here's the part where you contact me. See that nifty little PM button at the bottom of my posts? Click it. Title the subject "Coloring job" or "Commission" or something so I know you aren't sending me spam or a chain letter. Or, y'know, if you're lazy like that, just post it here in the thread. I need the following information:
- Lineartist's name
- Style of coloring you'd like (it's best if you pick a sample you'd like the style to resemble)
- Colors you'd like art to be in (if you're feeling especially ambitious, you may even send me a color swatch. Go into paint or whatever program you have and squiggle some colors down on a picture. Just be sure to label them so I know what goes where.) If you're picky, be sure to be specific. If you want a shirt colored dark blue, be sure you SAY "dark blue" instead of just "blue", or I might color it sky blue. If you don't give me any color references, I'll go wild.
- Background? If so, what? (My backgrounds tend to be simplistic, and will cost you extra.)
- Thumbnail? (I can make thumbnails for easy display. They will cost you extra, but not terribly much. Be sure to include sizes.)
- Preferred sizing for finished picture (if you want it shrunken)
- Either the picture itself or a link to the picture
4. I will PM you back or post in reply confirming everything you've told me. If you've given me color preferences but no file with color blobs on it, I may send you the colors I'm planning to use. I will also send you the cost of your picture. You have the option at this point to opt out if you don't like the price. No work done, no charge. HOWEVER, once you've sent that trade, I assume that means you've agreed to everything and I will begin work on your picture.
5. Send me the trade for the required amount of gold. I will confirm the trade, and begin working on your picture. You don't need to do anything more until I'm finished. When I'm done coloring your picture, I will send you a version with SAMPLE on it in big red letters. Once you've confirmed your end of the trade and I have the gold, I will send you the version with no ugly letters on it.
6. Enjoy your colored picture! heart
How to order breedable coloring:
1. Have a pet that needs coloring.
2. Come find me! Browse through samples and prices until you find what you want.
3. Contact me. PM me and make the subject "Coloring commission" or something similar so I know not to delete the message. Include the following:
- A link to your shop
- A sample of one of your pet's stages
- Lineartist's name
- An idea of what sort of coloring you're looking for
- How much you're willing to pay (breedable prices are far more fluid than lineart prices, see below)
4. I will send you a confirmation/negotiation PM and we will haggle something out.
5. I will send you the completed egg/baby/first stage. Upon sale, you will send me payment and I will send you the rest of the stages.
UNTIL THE FIRST TRADE IS SENT AND CONFIRMED, EITHER PARTY HAS THE OPTION TO BACK OUT OF THE AGREEMENT. That is, I can turn down a job at any time, unless I've confirmed a trade you've sent me. You can choose not to hire me, unless you've already sent payment. Once you hit that trade button, you're committed, because that's my signal to start coloring for you, and tells me you agree to my rules and prices.
Pricing
ALL PRICES WILL VARY WITH COMPLEXITY AND DIFFICULTY. PRICES GIVEN HERE ARE MINIMUMS AND MAY CHANGE DEPENDING ON THE LINEART.

Regular Lineart
Basic headshot/head and shoulders: starting at 500 per person/element
Realistic/painty headshot/head and shoulders: starting at 750 per person/element
Lineless headshot/head and shoulders: starting at 1000 per person/element
Lots of detail: add 200 to cost
Basic fullbody: starting at 1500 per person/element
Realistic/painty fullbody: starting at 2000 per person/element
Lineless fullbody: starting at 3000 per person/element
Lots of details: add 500 to cost
Extras:
Background: starting at 500
Thumbnail: 100
Lineart cleanup: starting at 200
Special effects (magic, fireballs, glow, sparkles, etc.): starting at 300
Breedables
Any breedable: 50-60% of the price, or minimum pay of 500 gold per stage
I will do one free sample coloring, of one stage only. Adult form preferred.
Extras:
Detailed fur/hair (I mean VERY detailed, beyond the average coloring job): 200
Patterns/textures (stars, scales, flames, etc.): 100
"Special" items (jewelry, magical talismans, etc.): 300 per item
