Yes folks, as crazy as this may sound Vergil Vs his future self under the control of Mundus. As we all know who each are I'll just bring up a few points that may getcha thinking. This is Vergil, full attacks and power at the end of DMC3 before being beaten by Mundus Vs full power Nelo Angelo as seen with all his attacks from the last battle with Dante in DMC1 and we're assuming that Nelo and Vergil are going to have a no holds barred battle.
1. By DMC1 Dante had had an estimated 10 years of experiance hunting devils since the DMC3 events. Nelo Angelo, first battle, BEAT his a** down. He held him against a wall and was poised to kill him before seeing the amulet.
2. Vergil hasn't had any time to grow or develop. At the end of DMC3 for whatever reasons he is beaten by Dante in the Underworld. The likely reason Nelo only beat Dante in the first battle was because he was messed up mentally by either his old memories coming back, him beggining to fight Mundus' control or some other reason.
3. Vergil's speed may not really have any difference. Think about it, the only reason we don't see a huge speed feat by Nelo or Dante in DMC1 is because at the time they weren't envisioned as super fast characters, only seemingly invincible ones.
Now, the gauntlet's been thrown down, let's debate.

I say Vergil, but this is only based on the in-game fights. In DMC1 Nelo Angelo was a pushover, whereas Vergil only got easy after you'd fought him a few times. If we were talking about Super Vergil vs Super Nelo Angelo (both from DMC3) then it would be a different story. biggrin
If it were a fight between the representations of each character outside of the game, I would still prolly say Vergil because it seems as though he has gained power with a loss of speed. Vergil is way faster and i think that this would be the difference-maker.

I'm guessing Vergil may be able to speed blitz Nelo Angelo. Then again, Nelo does have far superior Summoned Swords and his attacks are all very powerful. Vergil could hit Nelo loads more than Nelo hits Vergil but Nelo wouldn't need to hit Vergil even nearly as much.

I'd say nelo angel. But just because of this.(In case you're wondering you get this costume on Devil may cry 3 special edition when you beat heaven or hell with vergil. I think. That or beat bloody palace.)

I'm not sure who would win, Virgil has speed, Nelo has strength, but one things for sure, it would be one hell of a fight!!! twisted twisted twisted

I feel that if Vergil can keep out of Nelo's way and simply used hit and run tactics he could well win. As we don't know what Nelo's top speed is (well, he's supposed to be slower than DMC1 Dante so that could be DMC3 Dante's speed, just a thought...) and only really have DMC1 to go by it's quite possible Vergil is far faster than him to the point of being able to evade all his attacks.
Vergil's guard move is also something to be taken into consideration, used well that could cause Nelo to leave huge openings in his defences.

The two seem to be pretty evenly matched if you think about there strengths and weaknesses. Vergil, while being extremely fast, doesn't do much damage with his attacks, while the Nelo Angel, while being slower, does much more damage with his attacks. That is why I think it would be a pretty even fight.

Guys! just think how hard they were to beat in the game........ nelo final on normal, i easily beat when i was nine.......... vergil final....... i died quite a bit on normal after 13 yellow orbs i killed him...... yergil final on dmc3 could own almost anyone if it was there first time playing, nelo is sooooo easy and the fact that hes slow is a HUGE downside, i bet he could hardly even touch vergil! vergil can cut you once and 5 slices follo! nelo just swings a sword like a berserk monkey..........

Angelo would have the upper hand for a while before having his head lopped off by Virgil, but in doing that he shortens his life dramatically. But! If Angelo did win, wouldn't that kill himself instantly? I think that's the real question.
