its a nice idea, but it wouldnt be that good in a fight, well not against another sword user.
but it can be good to nonlethal attacks to unarmed people and if needed it can be lethal

reverse blade and double-edged blades are very very BAD they are many times when you have to touch the dull part on the bad of teh sword, like pushing on it ot clear blood, when drawing and putting the sword back into a scabbard, etc. you would cut yourself way to much. ryonin kenshin or whatever is stupid for using a reverse blade.
you cannot use a reverse blade in battle.
it is a very bad idea.
you would hurt yourself more than your opponant.

if you want nonlethal sword, just grind the blade down so it can't hurt anyone.
but you DO NOT want to use a reverse blade.

when you train, you practice stuff you do on the battle field. you can really hurt yourself with a reverse blade.
think about reversing the structure of a gun so it shot backwards, sretty stupid, huh?
if you want to train with a live sword, grind the blade down so noone can get hurt by it.

it might have been, but a very dangerous one. if you ever study kenjutsu, you will realize it is impossib;e to use a reverse blade.

I am not great with swords but I used to stick fight with my freinds all the time, we found some kewl sticks and stuff then we got wooden swords, to tell the truth id rather have a sacraficable weapon to parry attack but in that ase I just use my arms then I always counter-attack. Without me counterattacking I would have nothing.

Reverse blade swords weren't really used. I mean they existed but no one used them. The ones you usually find online are show swords, meaning they arent made to be used in ANY physical way.
Just buy a bokken or an unsharpened training sword. I'd only grind down a perfectly good sword as a last resort.
