Hello, and welcome to the guild of RP! We are happy that you have joined, or, if you are just looking, we welcome you as well! There are a few things I would like to start off with as rules for each RP!
1. Please, we ask of you, do follow the Gaia TOS, we don't want to see anything that should not be here!
2. Within RP's, be nice to other characters, and please, no god-moding, unless you have the other person's permission to do so!
3. Please, we do not need to see your "Inner Lust Dragons" at work, please, keep sexual things PG13, or we will kick you off the forum!
4. There might be more to come, so be sure to check in every once in a while!

OK, for all RP's and such that I am in charge of, there will be a series of consequences that I expect you to follow, I keep close track of all that happens around this guild, I know everything you post! So, the list of consequences are as followed!
1. Simple warning, stop after this, or we will give real consequences! 2. Banned of specific RP for the day, go to another RP and get your act together! 3. Banned of Guild for a day. (Also shall put you on my graylist!) 4. Banned of certain RP for a week (You shall get very behind schedule, too bad, so sad!) 5. Banned of the guild for the week (ooh, to the blacklist you go!) 6. OK, we're getting real sick of you! Most likely, you shall be terminated as a member, but we might find more "creative" punishments! (Yay! Time to polish the old torture devices!)
My Graylist:
Yay! So far, no one, be happy!
My Blacklist:
No one, good, you do NOT want to go there!

Aha! Another thing! You need to make sure that if you're either new to this guild, or starting a thread, to know the posting basics:
OK... everyone has their own posting style, and this is for my RPs, and a few others... keep in mind that repeated offenses of this will have consequences!
() Talking out of character, if you need to cut in and explain something, or whatnot.
" " Character dialauge, plain and simple.
No quotations, probably some sort of character dialouge.
Most of the time, people will ask you to PM them with your character, I always do this, if you post your character in any RPs I have created, I will delete your character, if it doesn't say what to do, PM hem with your character.

On this note, I would sorely appreciate it if narcisstic roleplays and roleplayers would be kept OUT of the guild. This is a term I use frequently, so be prepared. This is a major problem in the forums, so, please, refrain from creating roleplays like this. These roleplays are boring and self centred, and, most importantly, illiterate, even if proper spelling is utilised. Since Variety is not an illiterate guild, your fellow mods and members would appreciate it if you created literate threads.
Now, don't go saying every roleplay is narcissistic. No! If you think an RP is so, then check the following criteria and report it to any of the six mods. WE will take care of it. Please don't flame people.
identifying narcisstic plots
Does the plot...
--> seem to be centred around one primary character? --> make it so other characters pawns in the game, not important to the storyline?
If you...
--> took out the main character (usually the GM's), would the RP cease to exist? --> took out your character (assuming that your character is C out of A, B, and C), would the RP still be able to function just as well as you have?
Is the plot about...
--> one character in a coma and the others wrought with grief? --> people trying to cheer up one character? --> everyone picking on the 'new kid'? --> a famous, gifted kid coming to a family? --> a pregnant high schooler who has moved? --> a character coming back to the family
what is NOT a narcisstic roleplay
--> an RP where a character dies prior to the beginning --> an RP where everyone picks on a group of kids, about six to seven --> an RP about misfits --> a n00bish roleplay. n00bish RPs are not always literate, but if it is n00bish, it is NOT narcisstic, at least to begin --> a family roleplay where families separate.

identifying narcissitic roleplayers
Does the roleplayer...
--> frequently create plots that meat the criterion above? --> spin RPs so that they centre around themselves? --> act obnoxious when no one notices their character? --> gives their character obnoxious traits so they are noticed?
what is NOT a narcissitic roleplayer
A roleplayer who...
--> spins RPs, but is not obnoxious and gives back the limelight --> makes literate roleplays that have slightly narcissistic plots --> does not take it up in every RP --> does not utilise proper spelling
is usually NOT a narcisstic RPer, at least in most cases.
If your RP or RP skills are classified as narcisstic, you will be facing the punishments that Harra has (see above). If you are a frequent imposer of this rule, you may be banned from the guild for a week, a month, or blacklisted and banned.
so long, and thanks for all the fish. (:

Ah, and thank you for your outline of Narcisism (SP?) Madame Flamingos! I am pleased with your outline (as I used to be a Narcistic RPer... I have long since dropped that, but I try to make sure it doesn't happen again!)
Take kindly to all of Flamingos advices, as she is a master of RP, knows all the rules, and that sort of thing, if I find you messing with her, be prepared for severe punishment!
No matter, enjoy reading! ^_^
