Well, the title is self-explanitory. What, in your opinion, are the best power metal ballads?
I'd say Sonata Artica - The End of this Chapter, or Thy Majestie - Time To Die.

Fiddler on the Green, obv.
Also, 'Portals of Light' by Falconer is really good, and If you count 'Thorns of a Black Rose' by Kiuas as a ballad, I think that one rules as well.

Though I wouldn't consider Trail of Broken Hearts amazing, I actually really like it. Very predicatble of Dragonforce, though.
Since I don't like Demons & Wizards, I haven't really looked deep into their album. I think I listened to some of it, and didn't like it, because there was too much Jon Schaffaer composition in it.
I'll go listen to Fiddler on the Green, though.

The Odyssey - Symphony X
Although I'm not sure that they're exactly Power Metal, but it is a great song.

Hammerfall - Always Will Be
In itself it isn't very power metal but it's by Hammerfall so it's still gotta be cool biggrin
