Feel torn between your irrepressible hate for subtitles and your craving of international cinema? This is your answer! Here is the place for all English-language, non-U.S. movies. British movies go here. Australian movies go here. All that stuff.

I guess my favorite would have to be Trainspotting. 3nodding Such a terrific cast. I love Spud (Ewan Bremner) and Sick Boy (Jonny Lee Miller) the best.

Excellent choice of English-language movie. I thought Spud was great. How did they do that scene with Ewan where he's just sitting there forever, and everything is sped up? Did he not blink for that long?

Snatch is excellent. The botched robbery especially. Can't believe Guy Ritchie is such a Madonna-loving dweeb.

I think I wanted to see that just because they play Angel. Massive Attack gives me reason to see Taking Lives, too. Haha.
Oh, there are also those Hugh Grant movies, like Love, Actually.

I saw Love, Actually. I was entertained. If you ever get the DVD, try and sit through the commentary. Whoever is on there, I think the director, cinematographer and Hugh Grant (who is late to the commentary taping and has to leave midway because he gets a phonecall), do a good job of ripping the movie to shreds.

Why would they do that? I didn't think it was bad. Unless they did it in a lighthearted way.

It was done in a lighthearted way, yeah, but there was a lot of complaining about bad acting and corny plot points.

I loved Trainspotting (especially the scene where Ewan's going cold turkey, locked in his room by his parents), Snatch and Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels.
And I thought the little kid in Love, Actually was cute.

Nalfein And I thought the little kid in Love, Actually was cute. I thought his dad was cute, except for when he cried. I don't like to see men cry like that.
