Honestly, I didn't think that they'd (They'd being...pyrofire and his modley crew) would actually make a Higurashi no Naku Koro ni subforum. Glad he did though; this series caught me in a torrent of "Oh snap, b***h's got a knife!"
Personally, I have no stomach for violence. I was so surprised by the transition between happy-go-chibi and crazy-b***h that I was reeled in. Alas, my inability to stomach torture/violence stuck stronger than the impression that "Spirited Away by Ogres" did. I couldn't make it past the 8th episode. Something about *seeing the main characters die in every single scenario* got to me.
I'll ask your thoughts on it; I would admit I've seen relatively too little to make a proper questionnaire.

Um, well. I can watch bloody stuff easily and the psychological ******** are my favorites, when it comes to anime I mean, so of course I like HiguNaku a lot. ^^; I have to admit that it's extremely disturbing, though. And I was really surprised after watching the first ending arc, I never excepted it to be like that. o_o; Well, then again, I learned just two days ago that it's being made after that game.. and I want that game, now. Haha. The killerlolis are quite haunting, though. Strangely, I've noticed that I've started to practice swinging more after watching HiguNaku.. a coincidence, or a way to stay prepared? I don't know.
I'm glad for not going out often (← otaku indeed) since I'm scared of people anyway, and especially now I've been trying to stay away from young girls. Guh.

sounds awesome. i've heard of it before, but never really bothered to see it. too busy with other animes. i am watching episode 1 as we speak. XP

But it seems like that's a lot of peoples opinions...third was good, but not as good... Plus in the third one you don't get to hear Mion's crazy laugh...i love that laugh...But you do get to here satoko's crazy laugh... I hope Rika is next twisted

I love the show it makes you think and there is gore like at every corner. The whole "Spirited Away by Ogres" was funny in my eyes but either way I love the show... it makes my head hurt seeing the same people die over and over (well one anyway xp ) but yay for blood and gore! *does the happy dance covered in fake blood* ninja

I didn't like how they were dying all over again, but wow..... I love the gore scenes. Don't really like the scenes in between with the innocent-ness, but the gore and suspense is GREAT. biggrin . The psycho loli girls scare my boyfriend though.

I just started watching this show on sunday even though i've known about it for like...ever...at first I was like this show is boring then when I got to episode 3 I was like oooh this is interesting then I got to 5 and I was like what the hell how did this guy come back? then I lost interest completely by episode 8 and realized I only watched it up till that far cuz I wanted to see how the chracters were gonna die but they keeep on coming back so...yeah
