erm, can i be two charries, one teacher, one student? i know better than to make them interact or have them in the same scene if i can help it, i just want to have two different options.

eek Your avatar frightens me. But that's not why I'm here. I think we should make a specific time for everyone to try and get on. Cause it's really annoying having a "post-whenever-thread" (as I call them). I hate them. I've already had a really good one go that way, and basically no one posts anymore. And FYI, Coco, chaos and I can not get on for sometime, probably around 12:30 PM to about 5 PM or so. Tomorrow is our last performance for the play and then we have a cast party and we get to strike the set. W00T!!!!!

So far, everyone who wants to play a second character has been able to. Write up a profile for the teacher, and if Finker has any issues with it either fix them or stick to one, aye?

Either way, with your permission (Finker) I think it'd be fun to have a gallery thread for people who find or draw cool HP images that they wanna post.

Coleyoly: just make another post next time and I'll know immediately! If no one else had posted a new profile, I probably would've been clueless for days. I did see it earlier, though. I'm debating about it. I'll have some sort of answer soon. It's going to be absolutely yes or absolutely no so I probably won't drag you through the changing it. However, gallery thread is definitely a yes. You can make and run it or find someone else to do it.
Aelita: two problems: it might scare people off and time zones would make it very difficult to designate times. Also, I think everyone informally assumes evenings are when everything is busiest. What times would you suggest?

At some point, I think we should make a subforum for Hogsmeade. Because much havoc can be caused there, along with getting candies. ninja

I know everyone makes mistakes, but could I possibly suggest that for the posts, someone else should go over them for a second time or even our fearless leader, Finker, could double check them. I am not trying to offend anyone.
I've only been accepted for a few days now and looking over some of the Anouncement posts, and even on the homepage for the guild, I have seen a few mistakes... An example is in Finker's Draco Malfoy profile. The appearance -which I only glanced at- had the following error... Draco has maintains the pale, skinny frame from his boyhood... What it should read... assuming you want everything in past tense is--> Draco has maintained the pale, skinny frame from his boyhood...
I did not mean to use one of Finker's, but it's the last one I looked at before I decided I should maybe point out that this is already straying from the desired literate Harry Potter Role Play everyone hopes for. I am new so I'm thinking maybe it's not my place to speak up, but I thought it should at least be brought to someone's attention, even if the problem persists. I'm not the leader so I can't say what goes.. only point out mistakes to those that can.
I hope this helps in you quest for a stronger, more literate guild. Again, any offense I may have given, I am sorry. Especially if it was to Finker for using that particular example. No ones perfect. I'll probably even go through this after I've typed it to look for mistakes and also after it's posted... that's just me though.

"Has maintains" isn't even proper English. Bad me! Actually, profiles are allowed to be in present tense; only in-character posts have to be in past tense. I would like to be much stricter about grammar and spelling within the profiles (and in general), but I don't want to drive people away. Also, rule XI is a new rule and not retroactive, but all new profiles (heh, one) do live up to its standard. In my defense, that rule applies to profiles and in-character posts only, exempting the announcements and home page. However, I am going to go through the profiles and check grammar, spelling, etc. I'll glance over the in-character posts for any major violations, but editing each of them for perfection would be silly.
Yes, Coleyoly, you can as long as you don't neglect Blayre and Nyx. Three characters is the maximum, though.

I've got another suggestion! I was thinking, one day that ten years have passed in the wizarding world and would leave a lot of time for inventions. So, here is my suggestion: We make a thread on the main forum where a list of magical objects and items that are in the book, but also suggested by guild members. After the objects & items suggested have been approved, of course.
