I'm sure others have read it. I just read chaps 1-3 of vol. 1. I dont dislike it at all. I like seing different stories...But it's kinda weird. I mean...the nurse is a HiME? And her element is...a stethoscope..? Wow. I do like the fact that Akane is there as a known HiME from the beginning. But what's up with the major story twists? I've never seen a series change so much from the manga...(but in this case, it's a good thing). No dear ones involved, just "keys" that boos a Hime's power, allowing her to summon her child. Also, it seems that Alyssa counts as a realHime cuz there's supposed to be 13. I wonder what the nurse's child looks like...
Nurse: My key's here... That means I can summon my child!! Come out...Band-aid!!

In all honesty, I can't stand the manga.
It's too.... fanservice based and somewhat difficult to follow, once you get a little further into it.
And Natsuki with Tate? WTF!? No. It doesn't compute properly.

No. It doesn't compute properly. Yaya... Those fanservices are too much.... And they didn't make proper introduction to every HiMEs...

White Skyz Yaya... Those fanservices are too much.... And they didn't make proper introduction to every HiMEs... Hah, that's another problem. There's way too many HiMEs in the manga. It's like, every other girl in the school is a HiME. And WTF they made Alyssa into Natsuki's half sister?! (That's a bit of a spoiler if you haven't read much of the manga) I don't find it terribly exciting, though.

All of the girls from the show are HiMEs, plus Nurse Youko now.
And there's some other group of 'bad girls' that are also HiMEs and stuff.
It's really stupid.
The whole manga is like the last episode of the series. Random things happen and the plot jumps from one thing to the next in a big flash of white light.
That's why it's so bloody confusing and frustrating.
I recall one chapter being there for the sole purpose of getting the girls into a hot spring and then lost in a magical cave. :\

She and Yukino are eachother's Key, apparently. :\ Things get kinda ... uh, weird and suggestive between them in the manga.

I just read up to ch. 32 of the manga. Its not too bad. Not as good as the series, but it's not dreadful. I like seing stories told in different ways. I f they ever make a series based on the manga, I'd watch it. However, I with the game to be a whole new story. Or mayby a mix of the 2. Or, instead of My-hime, why not make a game with a brand new story titled
"HiME: Highly-Advanced Materializing Equipment." That's what I would have done...
