Ok, I just thought that this would be an interesting place to put some recipies if you know any and if you feel like it that you think are good ^_^ Also as a place to just talk about some herbal food. Try to keep it as herb related ones though, if it isn't that's not a huge deal but not to many heart
Well, I myself have had lavander chocolate with blueberries which is SO good! It was dark chocolate and the lavander really made the flavor stand out and the bluberries added a little suprise every once-in-awhile. Also, today I saw anise biscotti I thought that sounded strange and I'm deffinatly going to have to try it sometime heart

cresent cakes (made the apple version on the Samhain of my personal initiation/dedication)
1 cup firmly ground almonds 1 1/4 cups flour 1/2 cup confection sugar 2 drops almond extract 1/2 cup butter (softened) 1 egg yolk
Mix almonds, flour, sugar, & extract until throughly mixed. With hands, work in butter & egg yolk until well blended. Chill dough. Preheat oven to 325*F. Pinch off pieces of dough about the size of a walnut & shape into cresents. Cook on a greased cookie sheet for about 20 minutes.
for a more harvest recipe, add 2 Tbsp. of apple sauce.

Beltaine Marigold Custard - i found it! ^_^
2 cups milk 1 cup unsprayed marigold petals 1/4 tsp. salt 3 Tbsp. sugar 1-2 inch piece of vanilla bean 3 egg yolks (slightly beaten) 1/8 tsp. allspice 1/8 tsp. nutmeg 1/2 tsp. rosewater whipped cream
With a pestal & mortar, pound marigold petals. Mix the salt, sugar, and spices together. Scald milk with the marigolds & vanilla bean. Remove the vanilla bean and add the slightly beaten egg yolks & dry ingrediants. Cook on low heat. When the mixture coats a spoon (dip a spoon in & it doesn't run off), add rosewater & cool. Top with whipped cream & garnish w/ (extra) fresh marigold petals.

Moon Cookies
1 cup shortening or 1/2 cup shortening and 1/2 cup butter 1/3 cup sugar 2/3 ground blanched almonds 1 & 2/3 cup flour 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 cup confectioner's sugar 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Mix together shortening, sugar and almonds. Sift together flour and salt, then stir into almond mixture. Chill dough for at least 1 hour. Break off peices and roll pencil thin. Cut in 2 & 1/2 inch lengths and form dough into crescent shapes with fingers. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet untill set, but not brown. Set oven on 325?F forabout 14 to 16 minuets. Cool on pan, and while slightly warm, carefully dip each in a mixture of confectioner's sugar and cinnamon.
Makes aproximately 5 dozen Cresent Moons. For Vegan (Veggitarian) guests, use a natural sugar substitute in place of the refined sugar.
