This thread is for everybody to introduce and say something about themselves. It's a way for new members to let themselves be known, and since this is a fairly new guild, we're all pretty much new members anyway.

How you became a feminist: I've always had a pretty strong sense of "girl power," especially from being in Girl Scouts when I was little. As I started to learn more about the world, I became more in touch with feminism in politics.
Why you joined:I made this guild (with a lot of gold from my girlfriend) because there was really no other feminist guild for me to join. I figured that if I wanted it, someone else would too.
Interesting facts: I play the trombone, which is the best instrument ever. I'm also into queer activism and third party politics.

It would be cool to have a template to fill out when we're new. Maybe a sticky thread where members could fill it out and post?
It could include things like name, age, interests, how we found the guild, a picture of ourself, some stuff like that. =D

How you became a feminist: I never really thought about feminism much until I started dating a very politically savvy woman. She taught me a lot about...lots of things...and feminism too.
Why you joined: I was looking for a feminist guild with some good discussions, got an invite here, and here I am!
Interesting facts: I lovveee debate, politics, and women. I enjoy boxing too.

Age: 20 (about to be 21 in august. Guess that makes me the oldest one here: sweat: ?
How you became a feminist: Well I've always been for equality of all races and genders and I grew up as a feminist. It probably happened back in elementary school when the guys would play four square and wouldn't allow the girls to play and the girls would play hopscotch and jump rope and tetherball and wouldn't allow the guys (me) to play. I did not see the logic in this and thought it was unfair. That and I've always found better friends in women for some reason. I just get along better with women for some reason. Possibly because I can relate more with them? I don't think like most men and can't relate with them.
Why you joined: I got an invite to join and figured it would be a worthy guild for me. I am not sure why this guild was made when there was another feminist guild already existing but I'm not complaining.
Interesting facts: I am happily dating a wonderful woman who I hope to convince her to be a feminist someday. I say she's a feminist already but she doesn't see herself as one; probably because of all the stigma surrounding feminists. After college I plan on traveling around the U.S. and meeting a couple of people from gaia and then become a history teacher at the high school level. If anyone needs some help with school I'll be happy to assist. Just contact me on aim if I am on.

Besides, there are about seventy two million guilds about yaoi, so two guilds about feminism isn't bad. xd

How you became a feminist: It really came into conciousness after I read Herland, and then about six months later I started reading Dworkin and MacKinnon, I'm not really as radical as I was, but I may have some differing views from mainstream feminism.

How you became a feminist: Some really crappy stuff happened in my life, that was the catalyst. Starting university really defined this part of me.
Why you joined: Because GD and ED are eyerolling, vomit inducing, messes when it comes to feminism smile

How you became a feminist: My mom has always been a very strong, outspoken woman and she imparted that on her children. So I suppose I've always been interested in standing up for my rights and such.
