I am interested in evil. I hate it, a lot. I just don't know if its bad that I think about it. Its always been a dream of mine to be an excorsist. Is it bad that I am intersted in dark arts?
P.S.- Im not a satanist, I am Catholic.

I wouldn't think it's bad that you are interested in it, but I do hope you are objective enough to understand that evil is called that for a reason. Even my religion has entities that are malicious and should not be dabbled with.
As for being an exorcist, the Catholic Church is getting away from that sort of thing due to the fact that there is virtually no reason to believe that the Ha-Satan is nothing more than a servant of YHWH (as he was in the Jewish faith). That idea came to being back in the 17th century when they were trying to drive out minor sects in the hope of uniting the Church into one being. People were a lot more superstitious then. The Church takes a far more logical approach to "demons" nowadays. 3nodding

If you want to be an exorcist...well hmmm, thats something that GOD would have to call you to do I think seeing as though it isn't a easy job, and priar to what people may think because of Hollywood holy water, and a crucifix don't do anything. The best way to handle a demon is faith, patience, and scripture, ooohh don't forget this more important thing being GOD; but again as I said thats something that GOD calls you to I think. As for the dark arts what do you mean by that I certainly hope you don't mean to practice them.

We are all called by God--as His children-- for different reasons. I'm only a human, I could not tell you whether God would call anyone to be this himself, I use to visit with a Brazilian church that expressed some people were meant to do this, but there are some parts in the bible speaking of how it should be derrived away from (I plan to find my bible later and look it up a little later and come back)
But that's an interesting question. I mean, if there were people being bothered by evil spirits and God found someone who could rid them in His name, perhaps that is something he sends some of His people to do.
But whether that's something for you, I'm not sure. From what I've seen, people don't usually choose what God has in store for them. I mean, I'm still trying to figure out what it is He will be calling me to do...but I think I'm slowly falling under the impression it has something to do with guidance or motherhood (watching children). If it is, great. But I'm sure God has a role for all of us. It might be this for you, it might not.

If you can't do bad if it didn't exist then all you could do is good which would just be normal and there would be no difference so you could not do bad.

Exactly my point: there would be no contrast, but it would still exist. It is never dark on the sun, but that doesn't mean it isn't light. 3nodding
